It's funny how you drive downtown so much that you don't notice these tiny little stores. I had to meet up with my lawyer friends at their firm downtown, and coincidentally, we all agreed on getting a quick breakfast before briefing. They recommended their usual place here. This was my first time.

If your strolling by you may notice it. If your driving, barely. If your a local or a white and blue collar worker near by then definitely. Inside there's a small area for eating, perhaps under 20 seats. The majority of the store has alot of health products and supplements for grab and go. That morning we all wanted smoothies to fuel us atleast for a few hours. My friends ordered their usual. I asked the nice lady at the counter what she would recommend and she replied "the ma joon."

Now lemme tell ya, good things take time, and it's worth the wait. The only downside here at this location is the parking but that's not a big deal. So how did it taste?

Wow that's refreshing! And it's almost like I'm having dessert in the morning. I took a sip of my buddies chocolate smoothie and cheese cake Mahoney, I know what to order next time on my next visits. If your thinking that a 8 dollar smoothie isn't going to fill you up, your wrong. After drinking 3/4 of it I was feeling full. And besides, your giving your digestive tract a break as well. Not just what's in it but also in the form of it.

As I was browsing around in the lineup earlier I saw some really cool packages of desserts. I just wanted to highlight this product here because the lady at the counter said it's local and made with all organic and raw, vegan, gluten free, and no refined sugar. Wow... That's a high end product. Since my buddies grab them all the time I decided to try the Ganache and #@/! I was blown away! There's also a website for her products www.livinglotus.net

I love how Victoria's health and organic store team up with other local health owners. Power in numbers, more exposure, local and fresh. I'm definitely gonna be returning to this place on a regular basis for their smoothies and pressed juices, and their delicious living lotus dessert packages! Btw they also do coffees here, and have kombucha on tap. The kombucha is local too.

I know it's hard to find vegan, gluten free, no refined sugar desserts. There's alot of people who can't digest properly or have choice of religion and their diets are very restricted. One important group of people are diabetics. If your reading this now living lotus products are sold here. You seriously have to try them, and wash it down with Victoria's drinks here.

Would I recommend this place? Yes to EVERYONE. Service is friendly and consistent with every client, even though it was busy with two workers. Very professional. Ambiance is serene.

Update: Audrey is the owner of living lotus. Her products and info are here. This is for all the people who have dietary restrictions, faith in religion, or just wanna be healthier.

I really like the downtown location of Victoria’s Health & Organic Bar. Their smoothies and juices on the menu have overall been delicious concoctions. I also like the option to make your own juice and smoothies from a list of ingredient choices. The only drawback is that this place is not 100% organic - only some of the fruit and veggies are organic so if you are looking for 100% organic, make sure to ask what is available that is organic.
