Great late night pho place. Decent price and good value. Went with a couple of my friends who love their pho and they were very happy. Would not hesitate to recommend.
House special was good, not sure how they pull it off but it tastes more flavorful than any other pho restaurants nearby. Service is to be expected like you would imagine from a 24/7 place.
Edit: the male cashiers are ruthless with tips, won't give you change unless you ask for it and will make you repeat yourself when you ask for change. Definite guilt tripping technique. Not sure how they think anything over 10% tip is acceptable here with the service and attitude. Yes, of course, I want the $10 change on my $25 bill (tipped them 20% and they somehow still want more for the non-existent service.)
I've been to hundreds of restaurants in Vancouver.
I'm a regular at Extreme Pho. Vietnamese and Cambodian foods are offered everywhere in Vancouver but at Extreme Pho I always know I'm getting a good meal for around $10, not $20.
Judy, the manager, has always treated me well. And the staff has always been pleasant.
Owning /operating a restaurant isn't all glamour (I owned a 109 seat restaurant years ago) and my hats off to Extreme Pho for providing great food and a comfortable environment for a reasonable price 24/7.
Instead of complaining about the food PLEASE "walk a mile in their shoes" and talk to the managers...they're very nice people running a 24 hour restaurant (and small business) in a city that supports 24 hour restaurants dominated by giant corporations.
Every pho place should be 24 hours. This place is always open when you need it to be. After a long night, sometimes pho is just the best remedy. The service at this place is very timely, and the pho always tastes great. I’ve been there a handful of times and have yet to be disappointed. I always order the number 5 with the Satay soup base so it’s extra spicy. I recommend this place for all the pho loving night owls!
Always fresh, always good, and never in five? Six? (Even at their previous location) years a bad experience. Pho is clean and tasty, the spring rolls crispy, hot, and flavourful, the combos a great deal and yummy (the lemongrass chicken and vermicelli combo mmm!) and best of all, Judy and Jimmy!
Extremely fast and was impress by friendly plus good looking staff lol
Def come next time
L size of bowl will fill you up good if you usually go for a S size at other pho restaurant
I love that this place is open 24hrs as its perfect for late meals on my way home from ubc. I ordered #14 and it came out 5 minutes after i ordered! Super speedy. I would say that their topping quantity may be a bit lacking compared to other pho places ive been to, but overall a good find. Definitely get size large or xlarge since large is equivalent to your average sized bowl at other restaurants. If you usually eat less than the small size should be perfect for you!
Really quick. My pho was on the table (2 mins max) after I ordered. Soup base was good but can be a little hotter, not too heavily MSG-ed. Not enough bean spout. Prices went up. $6.5 S and $7.5 M (what they call L). It would be great if there were combos. Pho+spring roll and/or pho+drink. I thought about order a spring roll, 2 would be too much and 1 would be perfect!
Best pho in Vancouver! They used to be across the street but relocated to a quiter location with more tables. Still the same quick service and delicious hot pho. So awesome and open 24 hours!
Note this isn't affiliated with the place with a similar name in Burnaby. This is the original place and the one that built the Pho Xe Lua reputation. Accept no substitutions!
NEW LOCATION WILL BE OPENING SOON.
