I love Sun Tin Day Cafe Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. I often go there with friends and family, as their food portion is really huge and wonderful with inexpensive prices.

A good Hong Kong cafes is hard to find in Vancouver. This place is simple and local. It’s not as fancy as the chain restaurants but the service makes this place stand out. After a couple times the waitresses will know you and greet you like you have been going there for years. Portions are HUGE.
Best option for HK style food in this area! Try the Paella.

Great value even with a higher price. At first I was a bit shocked by the menu price. Normally when I think HK style cafes the price is easy to stomach and the good is passable - great for a student budget. This place was closer to a restaurant price. Well worth it!
So with that said, I'm now a fan of this place. My dish was well cooked. The noodles are nice and crunchy. The meat is tender and juicy. With a good amount of heat on my dish. The taste is good. The portion is huge! Almost twice the portion size of some cheaper HK style cafes.
Sitting across two elderly ladies, we gawked at the portions of some of the dishes. We joked that we saw a full chicken being served. (Small bird)
I still have yet to see someone fully finish their main dish, myself included. I have an above average appetite.
The ambiance of this place is nice and bright. It's neat and tidy and well spaced between tables.
The servers offer good service, I don't feel ignored like some other HK style cafes. The manager or owner seems to care about the service quality , asking about customer interactions. They seem to enjoy working with each other.
All in all, the price reflects a great value: huge portions, quality ingredients , good service. It probably isn't a place for foodies to fawn over the fancy cooking. But it is great for someone who appreciate good value and service.
Fairly nice hk style cafe. Came here today for the first time. I live in the area and was walking by with my family looking for a place to eat when we noticed this small restaurant. We took a while to order but the waitress was kind enough to explain the menu and the items to us. However, prices are a bit higher compared to other HK style places. Food wise, the portions are pretty large. There is a mini combo menu with a lot of choices (sandwiches, snacks, rice, noodles, baked spaghetti) that came with a hot drink (or $1 for a cold one!) Overall, I enjoyed my experience and will be coming back to try other items on the menu.
Pretty decent sized portions and tasty eats for cheap. Service leaves something to be desired though…
