One of the best signs that a food adventure will be a good one is the service. As soon as we stepped into Nooru Mahal, we were greeted by a very smiley older man, presumably the owner, who jovially sat us down and ran through the specials of the menu.

Nooru Mahal Restaurant是溫哥華一家經營已有20年以上的南亞餐廳，主要的餐點包括南印度和巴基斯坦兩地美食，而最特別是連新加坡的料理也有供應，相信食肆的老闆曾經居住或在新加坡工作過吧！由於南印度和巴基斯坦兩地食物的調味較北印度辛辣，所以提醒怕吃辣的各位在落單時記住要求「微辣mild」為上。
餐廳的菜單包括南印度、巴基斯坦和新加坡的料理，而主打的招牌菜是印度捲餅，這裡的Dosa選擇非常多，有葷有素。Dosa是一種用米和扁豆麵糊放在熱鐵板上烤捲成的煎餅，跟法式可麗餅crepes的做法很相似，只不過印度版的尺寸大很多，而且中間會加入不同的印度鹹食饀料。Dosa在斯里蘭卡也很普遍，可以當成早餐或晚餐吃，也是街頭美食之一，但以印度南部省份的泰米爾納度（Tamil Nadu）最著名，其他有印度種族的國家，例如馬來西亞和新加坡也有Dosa，但名字則稱為Thosai。

饀料是青豆薯仔咖喱雞，這裡的餡料比別家多，吃起來無餡料的地方捲餅皮很香脆，有餡料的地方給浸泡過比較稔。由於Dosa是即叫即做，每次只能做一份，即使同時落單亦會分先後上桌，我建議大家切勿等齊才吃，先上桌的要即刻起動，否則肯定吃不到香脆的餅皮
Dosa附來的兩種蘸醬中，綠色的帶有薄荷，而我比較喜歡黃色帶有椰蓉的一種。另外隨餐還有一小杯Sambar辣湯，喝起來有點像加辣羅宋湯

每份咖喱餐都附有 rice, roti, papadam 和raita，牛肉份量很多，咖哩十分香濃，可選擇微、中、勁三種辣度。我要了微辣，起初沒有感覺，其後越吃越辣，但對我來說還可以接受。
We like it a lot. Been going there for a decade, love their lamb Vindloo dosa, their Chai varies from great to OK. The other places that sell Dosa are good to, but this place is closer to our heart I guess. Accidently upload Dosa picture to Briyanni, oops not sure how to remove it.
Buffet!. Awesome lunch buffet going with great fresh food! Love it!
Nice decor. A nice pleasant surprise with the decor here in this part of Fraser, it's not really well known but if you're in the area and need an above average, nicer place, this one is clean and up to modern specs.

Also have another location in new west so figure must be more than decent, they've been here for over 3 years so that's a good sign.

We discovered this place about 3 months ago and are so happy we did. The butter chicken is the best in town that I felt compelled to write a review. The terrible review is bogus as the writer promotes another restaurant.

The Closest To South India. I like good food ive been around to places boasting of indian food and authenticity...and some abt so called passion...This place is amazing..the food takes time to reach ur table...but thats not an issue coz u need to wait for ur food..that's how the tradition in south india..it kindles ur appetite making u wait....if ur a food connoisseur, this is one place i recommend..there malabari parotta and kothu R THE BEST.....the gravy they serve along with the parotta or roti is juz like back home...In my two years in canada this is the only one real South Indian Restaurant...i juz love it..ive been in the food business for 9 yrs now..wen people around try to project indian food as butter chk and naan, this is the south..atleast twice in a month i travel frm white rock to this restaurant juz to eat kothu roti and ur special biriyani..
People complaining abt slow service need to know this that this is not a fast food or any other rte food restaurant where they buy frozen parotta's or roti frm outside and serve...here the chef makes everything frm scratch...food lovers try once and then u would c wat i meant.

The best (non-vegetarian) South Indian food in Vancouver. Service is a bit slow, as there's usually only one person serving tables, but the food is excellent.
BEST INDIAN FOOD IN TOWN....... I call myself an Indian food eater, I've eaten it in several restaurants but I haven't found better food than this one, the place might be small and dark but the food is excellent!! Recentely I moved to the West end and discovered this guys deliver to downtown!!!!! Ohh joy!!!!
So this is one of my family's favourite restaurants because 1) they offer the best Kothu Roti in town, 2) friendly service and 3) they have one of my family's beloved foods - Kothu Roti :).
