What better way to start the spring time sunny season with desserts in the form of ice cream, waffles, and more! They recently added more hot food items to diversify their menu too! I of course, got my favorite matcha parfait and as always, it was glorious! I mean who wouldn't love matcha ice cream with layers of red bean?
The hedgehog parfait is really good - chocolatey smooth gelato with chocolate cake and cookie straw. The mix was delightful and indulgent 😋 Will order this again!
Honey Green Milk Tea Slush sounds exactly like the name - it was good, not too sweet and with a strong Jasmine tea flavour.
We were looking for dessert and found Mimibuloveme. This place is really small and is actually tough to miss . We drove by it a couple of times before being able to locate it. We shared the tiramisu parfait, which came with ice cream, cake, and lady fingers. The parfait was very good as all the ingredients blended well together, the tiramisu surprised us as it was light not too over powering. Also, the corn pops were a great little touch, very nostalgic.
The price for a parfait is $7, not bad considering the quality and quantity of food. We would come back and try some different parfaits. We would recommend this place for any of you who are craving something sweet.
Hands down my favourite dessert place. Every single parfait on the menu is just SO good. My absolute favourite one would be the matcha parfait though 😍.. 2 scoops of green tea ice cream, pink + white mochi, red bean and corn pops.. definitely worth the price and won't get bored of their parfaits anytime soon.
Ambiance:
The decorations inside are quite cute and comfortable. Their theme is CATS. The size of this dessert place is small. Their high tables and high chairs are small as well, so the feeling is that this place is still spacious. There are also chairs and tables outside this dessert place but it is too cold to sit outside during winter or on a rainy day.
Service:
The server was very friendly and nice. She brought out our food quickly without waiting for too long.
Food:
My friend and I ordered a cup of hot taro milk tea and a cup of hot longan black tea as well as a large cappuccino coffee parfait. Both cups of tea were very sweet....or too sweet. The parfait was ok. The presentation of the parfait looked beautiful but when we tasted it, it was just ok. We did not have a "wow" feeling.
Prices:
The drinks are cheaper comparing to the ones in Richmond and some other bubble tea places in Vancouver. All of the food and drinks here are quite affordable.
Would I like to come back to this dessert place?
The answer is..... No.
I thought this place was pretty average, but I only tried their waffles; I have yet to try their parfaits. I think for the ingredients and size of the waffle, it's not really worth $7-8. There's nothing too special about it, and they're pretty simple to make on your own. However, they weren't bad; the waffles were nice and crispy. I'll have to come again to try the parfaits.
I passed by this place so much when I'm driving and never knew they had ice cream parfaits. The strawberry cheesecake and matcha are good and the appeal effect looks good. Yes yes I know you can make this at home at a cheaper price, but guess what? I can make alot of other things at home like Cantonese lobster, chicken friccasie, creme brule, cheese cake, roast lamb, steak, etc. When summer hits and you need a air-conditioned placed with dessert, hell I'm willing to pay a premium to sit for a while to cool down and have a cold dessert. Alot of people don't realize that sometimes it's not the food your paying for, it's the environment. When it was summer and hitting 33 degrees I need air-conditioning lol.
i love their parfaits, i've had the green tea, strawberry cheesecake, and mango! theyre all worth trying. i feel like its really overpriced ($8.5) though but i still cant resist. plus, theres really limited seating so I always have to get takeout. but this is always my go to parfait place.
I love the parfaits here! So worth it and so filling. The place is pretty small so be prepared to wait for a seat. I especially loved the parfait with green tea ice cream, red bean and mochi! It's like a mix of my 3 favorite things. Locations is also pretty convenient since it's like a 2 minute walk from the Oakridge Canada line station.
They serve a variety of sweets; parfaits, crepes, and waffles. Adding to that, they also serve pasta. Seating is very minimal as they are super tiny, it is very easy to miss. Their staff are friendly and very attentive as they pay attention to when you are ready to order to when you are ready to pay.
Taste: very flexible menu as they allowed me to switch the bananas in their Brownie & Banana waffle for strawberries instead. My waffle came with a big fat ice-cream scoop (to my liking) with chocolate drizzled on top as well as whip cream, chocolate powder, and a giant brownie. My plate was dressed with brownies, strawberries (supposed to be bananas, but I substituted to my liking), nuts, and chocolate powder. I generally love ice-cream, but I do feel that the ice-cream to waffle ratio was a little off; I ended up with a soggy waffle. The flavours were all good, nothing mind blowing, but a very balanced dish in terms of sweetness, however I am disappointed that they left the leaf on my strawberry.
Price: decent. It was about $7.50 for a waffle, however they are a lot more focused on their waffle complements (the strawberries, brownies, and ice-cream), than they are on their waffle.
