Hello hello! It’s been a while since Grayson and I made a visit to Happy Lemon Robson so we decided to pay them a visit on our usual Thursday Tea-day. I was looking forward to having my usual daily $3.99 special at Happy Lemon Robson but they had replaced them with “monthly specials.”

Most of the times I’ve walked past, I’ve always been curious about this new entrant to the bubble tea market, in the area. I’m not sure if it was the giant lemon headed boy out front or the promise of salted cheese on bubble tea, but I was convinced that a visit was warranted!. I decided to go for their “recommended” item of a Medium Green tea with Salted Cheese (5.15). It’s exactly as it sounds like. I got the green tea with half the amount of ice and got the tea in it’s “default” format (i.e. wasn’t too sweet or anything). The salted cheese, which I think is cream cheese, is generously ladled on top of the green tea and over the course of about 10 minutes, it slowly diffuses through the drink. It’s definitely interesting to watch if nothing else lol. The cheese and a medium level of saltiness to it, yet when contrasted with the slight sweetness of the green tea, it just works. Furthermore, in place of milk, the cheese takes the place of it in making the drink creamy. However, that means every sip leaves a slightly cheesy aftertaste.
