This place is great! The cost per couple is not $40 as this site says but rather $20. You fill up a bowl with meat, veggies and noodles and sauce.. whatever you like and you can pile it high. Then the staff cook it on a big circular hot plate. Its so affordable and so tasty!
My favourite Mongolian BBQ restaurant ever! Sauces are amazing, the service is fast and I always leave full and satisfied. I am usually good with 1 bowl so sometimes go for the combo but other times (especially with friends) I'll get the all you-can-eat and have 2 bowls.
Delicious food :) don't usually like small "hole in the wall" restaurants, but service was friendly and prompt and food was great! Can't complain
All you can eat for $12!. This place is very clean for a serve it yourself buffet style bar. The restaurant staff clean up after messy customers. Also, the selection of veggies and meats is adequate - plentiful in fact. Much, much better than the Mongolian on Davie street (which is also very dirty and sticky). We do still miss the Great Wall Mongolian on Denman street for their fantastic sauces - it appears no one can beat them - does anyone know if they are planning to re-open?
Update March 6, 2013! The Great Wall Mongolian BBQ is open again! Yay! So, while the Great Han is good, The Great WALL is FANTASTIC! Recently renovated, this place is clean, the food is fresh, the service is prompt and courteous, and the place is always full. That alone speaks volumes!
Solid and Clean Mongolian BBQ. Just had dinner at Great Han Mongolian BBQ and had a very good experience. My husband and I got their relatively early and it was nice and quiet. The restaurant was smaller than we expected, but it was clean and the waitress was extremely nice.
There was a good variety of meats and vegetables and everything looked very fresh (except the frozen slices of meat of course). I never have high expectations for Mongolian grill type restaurants - but I was really surprised at how clean it all was (usually everything is a mess and sketchy looking - which is why we eat Mongolian grill once every three years).
We would definitely go back again. It was only $11.95/person for AYCE and $3/beer. All in all we had an excellent time. I'm pretty sure this is the best Mongolian BBQ restaurant in Vancouver.
