Have heard amazing things about this place and it did not disappoint. Attentive service from start to finish. We were enthusiastically greeted by the sushi chefs when we entered and the vibe was very welcoming. Food was so good we ordered all their popular dishes and loved them!
Visited with a friend for lunch yesterday and the experience was great! Restaurant is cozy with warm staff and the food is superb. The chicken karage was fried perfectly and the special wasabi dip they gave on the side was really tasty. I also tried the red roll with some nigiri sushi and they were both impressive. Washroom was clean and well organized. I'll certainly come back when I'm in the neighbourhood again.
Truly underrated gem of a restaurant! The food and service are both impeccable. Lunch boxes are very affordable and delicious. Portion sizes are generous and food tastes fresh. They also have the best seared salmon don in town!
This restaurant is now called Sushi High. They've improved a lot in recent months and it shows. They've renovated their interior and the food's gone up a few levels. The new menu is fantastic and I highly recommend the Mega Roll and Yummy Yummy Roll the most. If you're into nigiri their Aburi Nigiri Selection is remarkable and allows you to try a variety of delicious fish.
Always wanted to try this place. The outside looks dark...but the food is soooo good! I ordered salmon don, spicy tuna roll, Ebi sunomono. All were very fresh and tasty. Hard to find good sunomono...and this place does it right! I’ll be back! I asked for lots of ginger...and they gave me lots!
Sushiholic is conveniently located close to Rupert Station and has a great selection of original special rolls. All the rolls taste good but I especially recommend the Dragon Roll and Fire Dragon Roll. I've gotten party trays from here too for events and it's always been great. Service is constantly efficient and friendly. Highly recommend!
Whether it's takeout or dine in, we always experience good service from here. The rolls are creative and prices are quite decent. My wife and I love their seared salmon sushi, awesome roll, and beef karaage.
We've been several times to Susholic over the years. We've recommended it to our friends. The food has always been good and the service sharp. But recently something has happened here. My favorites do not look the same anymore. For example, the Sockeye salmon roll used to actually be completely topped with a layer of sockeye and avocado. Now it has the thinnest possible layer of sockeye on about half of the roll.
Another favorite, the Holic Sashimi Tower, used to have an obvious layer of salmon, an obvious layer of tuna and tomago. It was always topped with a pretty dark red roe.
Now, you have to literally fish for the fish and there is no roe.
I haven't seen our usual server in a while. I'm wondering, has the restaurant been sold or taken on new management?
You get one more chance Sushiholi, then we're moving on if you don't improve back to your usual 4.5 star standards.
○decent service
○good food/ I think they improved over the years/ alot of unique dishes on menu/ majority quite tasty
○good price for quality and quantity/ go with big groups to try more variety
○if I had to try 1 dish: forgot what it's called but it's their newer dish with flame in the center
○would i go back? Yes
