A great grocery store. They have a pharmacy, a starbucks, florist, sandwich bar, ready made foods, customer service and lots of groceries. They have excellent product, good variety, and a nice amount of organic versus regular. They accept air miles. Parking is available through the mall and it is close to both a bus stop and the Canada line location.
Smaller than most Safeways. But, in the heart of Oakridge mall. Everything is nicely laid out.
Huge store! The deli here is best of all locations. You can get a great lunch for a great price. They are busy so expect a line up. They do have seating and a Starbucks but the seating isn't great. The Starbucks is good and clean. General grocery items are throughout the store, prices are good.
Very convenient for shopping or a quick run to get a few things.
They make veru good sandwiches at the deli. And quite reasonable in price.
Plenty to choose from meat and produce departments.
The bakery and the deli sells variety of items.
The organic produce is getting better. Though not as good as the Safeway in south Granville.
All in all it is a good place to shop.
People are helpful.
Parking is not too difficult most days.
Great location on Cambie st, plenty of parking and never too busy. I shop here at least 2 times a week and ever had to wait more than 3 minuets in a line to pay.
Veg is in good condition and seems fresh
In the coffee isle they have a grinder which is really useful when wanting to buy different beans.
Store is clean and well stocked, staff are friendly
The walkways around the carpark are not good and can be a little confusing
I am always impressed by the deals here. I have a few rules about Safeway shopping... They are good for bulk items like frozen foods, snacks, household items, but meat is overpriced(usually), occasional good frozen food deals, canned food deals, vegetables and fruit...nope..they cannot beat the local small Veggie stand.
I'm finding that Safeway is starting to have better prices for the quality of name brand foods it carries. I usually buy their freshly cooked foods here. They have a lunch special that includes 2 leg and thigh pieces, potato wedges and a drink for $5.99. Best come on Dollar day... Dasani water 750ml for only 50 cents. Sweet deals!
This is a very clean store and there are staff every where u look they are not far if u need anything and they take u right to the product. Good buys into this store i stop in a few times a month only because i live so far away so i try to go as much as i can in a wheelchair on a bus. But i still go because its a great store and when I'm there i go into the little lunch area and have a cup of coffee and they have really good sweets i buy in packs so i can take home some. U SHOULD TRY THERE COOKED CHICKEN AND TATOTES IT'S REALLY GOOD.
Convenient location attached to Oakridge mall. Plenty of free parking right outside the store as well as mall parking during mall hours. This location has a slightly smaller produce and meats department compared to some of the larger Safeway stores. Store closes a little earlier than most at 11 PM daily. Starbucks on location as well.
The staff are excellent. The quality is pretty good, not as much selection as the larger grocery stores, but has most things your average person needs. Prices are in the middle between Superstore and SaveOn.
