I love the taste of microgreens. Unlike eating the typical box of leafy greens or even deep greens from Costco that has been in transit and distribution from Calfornia for as long as it takes to grow these microgreens, this Living Produce Aisle makes my salad by cutting the greens when I order. There is no better way to preserve and ingest nutrients, freshly harvested on-demand.
When checking out this place, my Google search yielded description like 40x more vitamin E in microgreen version, 3x higher in beta- carotene in mcrogreen version, 30% protein... etc. It makes me feel healthier even just knowing that for thr same volume of “greens”——grown up greens vs microgreens——I am getting more food value.
I hate salads, but I love these microgreens. I’m fortunate to have access to these. While I was in LA recently, I couldn’t find thr equivalent outlet.
This is such a neat concept and strategically placed as well. Living Produce Aisle is exactly like the name states, ‘living produce’ meaning it’s still growing as a produce item. Right in the heart of the Yaletown neighbourhood, they use the concept of the Zero Mile Diet™, meaning produce gets harvested only minutes from one’s place. This has served many nearby restaurants with convenience in getting the freshest stuff only a few blocks away.
Warmer weather means bikini season is around the corner, and with it follows the feeling of body shame, and the need to get fit to rectify it. And if you are as lazy as me, this does not mean going to gym. It means slightly adjusting my diet: eating healthier things, and more vegetables to trick my body into thinking it’s in shape. And maybe my eyes into thinking I look slim and trim in that two piece. So my shortcut is to differ to juices.
