A Vancouver located go to place for Taiwanese food. Taiwanese popcorn chicken, potstickers, hot and sour soup and braised pork on rice with an egg are a must here. Potstickers take 20 mins so order them as soon as you sit down. Their drinks are okay. Their garlic dipping sauce that comes with the potstickers is the best...if you love garlic.
My girlfriend and I have read the reviews here and wanted to try it out. There is free parking in the back, but it is limited. There's still plenty of parking all around.
Our services were great. The restaurant is also very tidy and clean. I heard great reviews about the three cup chicken. I ordered this dish and it comes with rice and side dishes, at a very reasonable price. I loved this dish wow! If I was really hungry I would add another bowl of rice. I loved the savoury chicken with the ginger. I had a little cold, so this meal was terrific. Very comforting Taiwanese dish.
My girlfriend ordered the hot and sour soup noodle bowl... I felt so bad. She didn't enjoy this dish at all. She didn't want to waste food, so she packed it to go.
Would I come back?
Yes to try the spicy beef noodle soup bowl and three cup chicken.

Today finally decides to taste the Taiwan famous snack WanLuan pig's feet
It is honored as one of the best Taiwanese food! Had 60 years of history!
Ten years ago a friend once invited me to eat and was sternly refused by me, because i always thought that woman gnawing pig's feet could be a little embarrassing.haha
After eating a scrap to know that i was absolutely wrong.
A traditional way of Marinated pig's feet even if not dipped in the shop's famous Mi Zhi sauce, tenderness of the skin plus the crisp of the meat, sweet and tasty, not greasy at all. and more importantly : The server intimately sliced these meat into scraps, inside the tray, very well refined!
Finally with the selected passion fruit ice drill(micro sugar), mmm, matches certainly!
Isn't the weather bad or what? doesnt matter cause i am happy!
Oh right! It is named under the name of it's owner : Uncle'Lu

今天终于下决心去品尝了台湾著名小吃一一万峦猪脚
它可是被誉为台湾四大美食之一哟！已经有60年的历史了！
十年前朋友曾约我去吃，被我严词拒绝了，因为总觉得女人在大庭广众之下啃猪蹄，样子有点儿那个。
只是吃了一小块就知道自己错得很离谱。
这道用古法炮制的猪蹄，即使不蘸店家秘制的酱料，吃起来依旧是皮Q、肉脆，甘甜、爽口、不油腻。更重要的是：人家已经贴心地把肉片成小块，码在盘子里。吃起来很斯文的哦！
最后点了一杯微糖的百果冰钻，mmm, 绝配！
天气不好又奈我何？我心情好啊！
哦，对了！它还有一个奇怪的名字叫：安可卢（uncle'lu )

Honestly whenever I come here, I always get the salted peppery chicken noodle soup and it never disappoints. Always comes seasoned, crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside with crispy basil. The Chinese "oil" noodles they use goes well with the chicken. I never get the bubble tea though...
After the walk at QE Park, Ben suggested to take the Canada Line to downtown since the day is still early. Canada Place was buzzing with tourists as there were 2 cruise ships at the dock. These cruise ships are huge, like an apartment block. Sea plane cruising in the Vancouver Harbour dock. Water Fountain at Waterfront Center overlooking the Cruise Ship dock at Canada Place.
Excellent quick and comfy Taiwanese food!
Got the braised pork on rice appy (easily enough for a light meal), it came with a braised egg and super flavourful braised pork belly and sauce on rice.
Tried the famous wan luan pork hock in a rice meal, it was good but a little odd with the spicy garlic dip. Personally I liked the skin/rind bits but the meat parts were lean and cooked a little too dry. The side rice and veggies were a great addition to the otherwise meaty meal.
The pudding milk tea was fantastic👌 like a thicker creamier version of a regular milk tea.
I've really enjoyed everything that I've tried here. Although they use alot more herbs than other Taiwanese restaurants, they us them well in order to elevate their dishes. I especially like their fried foods as they always come out near perfectly done. Overall, Corner 23 is a great place to grab a quick and cheap bite in the Cambie area.
The past few days have been HECTIC. I have 8 written assignments, 1 presentation, and 3 final exams...and they're all due this/next week! LORD HAVE MERCY. Sigh...such is the life of an university student. While everyone's out enjoying their Easter weekend, I've been cooped up at home ~ writing essays like a MANIAC. Essays are the worst.
On the bright side...school ends in 2 weeks!! YAYYYY!
Anyways, I went to Corner 23 twice in the past month on my way to UBC! I really like Corner 23 ~ the food's pretty decent and the prices are super reasonable! On top of that, it's right across from King Edward Station AND the bus beside Corner 23 goes straight to UBC (super convenient!)
I love this restaurant. The Braised pork with rice and the pork hock is my favorite. There signature dish the is the Pork Hock with the special sauce. They get full during lunch and dinners and especially the weekends. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone but the parking is really bad around the area.
