The only place worth getting coffee on campus! Seriously top-notch service, excellent coffee and the very best beer taps west of Main.

Last minute, we were looking for a venue for an event we were holding that had grown past capacity at another venue. The Robert H. Lee Alumni Centre put us in touch with Loafe Cafe. Liv and her team were the most personable and amicable people to work with. They went out of their way for us. Food was great too! Thanks from Hope for the Nations!

Located right beside the new AMS building, a independent owned business with the simple concept of local ingredients and house made items bring a HUGE lineup. I would be honest and say it's definitely a good standard here for ubc. The prices are fairly reasonable. They also use pallet coffee, which tastes surprisingly amazing. They have locally sourced artisan breads of many kinds, and yes folks, they have gluten free, and it's delicious. They also serve alcohol, beer and wine, that alot of students aren't aware of. It's nice to not have a sticky table at the pit drinking. I love the environment here, and best of all, their concept. Local, friendly, and memorable above all. I loved it so much I convinced my study group to order catering at times to de-stress.

If you want another alternative from the delly, loafe is just as good. There is seating inside and out. If there isn't any seating, just grab to go, and head inside the AMS building. This place is definitely worth checking out.

Went here on the weekend and it wasn't busy at all. Campus was pretty dead. I wanted the bulgolgi beef sandwich, but apparently they don't have that on the weekend. My other choices were the po boy or kogi chicken, which were both deep fried, so I went with the apple and brie. It ended up being an open face sandwich, but it was presented nicely. It had a nice salty arugula salad on top of the apple and brie cheese, which balanced out the sweetness. It was pretty good but I don't think it was worth the 10$.

On my second visit, I got the bulgolgi sandwich and soup of the day. It was broccoli and potato. For a cup of soup, it is quite small but the soup was good. It came with crouton-like bread sticks. The sandwich was jam packed with beef and worth the price. It was kind of messy to eat but it was flavourful and filling. The only downside was having to wait awhile for my sandwich. It was really busy, but I think I waited a bit too long for my sandwich.

Overall, the food is good, but it can be quite of a wait. And some of the pricing is a bit high for what you get, but this is campus food, so it's expected. I would probably go back though because everything tasted good. I just wouldn't go everyday.

My friend and I were attending free lectures at UBC, celebrating their centennial year. For lunch, we went to Lofta which was conveniently located in the same building as the lecture hall. It’s a modern, slick cafe with a touch of hipsterish feel from the blackboard/chalk menu. I had a bowl of soup $4.95 and a side order of salad $4.95 of Coconut Quinoa. I wasn’t expecting such a large portion, so my friend and I were quite surprised. The quinoa salad had a hint of sweetness from the coconut, but a refreshing zesty flavour from the squeezed lime. It was so delcious. I loved it. Felt healthy too.

Kinda pricey, but I guess you're paying for the quality. Like I had a scallop poy boy... Like scallops or delicious, but pricey. Kinda surprises me how they are willing to have these expensive cafes on campus when half the students are broke. But whatever, its nice to have a nice looking cafe in campus one can study at.

I visited UBC and walked around at different places today. Lots of cherry blossoms and beautiful gardens. Got some fresh air and saw some unique buildings especially the new one Student Union Building (SUB).

This cafe is located at the corner of SUB on the ground floor. It has a very cozy and contemporary interior design. When I first stepped into the cafe, the ambiance was very comfortable. It was probably not too busy when I was there. I could sit and enjoy a quiet moment.

I ordered a cup of latte that had a rabbit design! That was very unique! I usually see a heart or a leaf shape of design in the latte. The quality of their latte was excellent.

A regular latte costs $3.75. A large one is $4.75. These prices are affordable. There are tables and chairs inside and outside the cafe. I would highly recommend this cafe that students can sit here, enjoy a cup of coffee or beverage or even some pastry or bakery goods, and do the homework on your laptop or research and etc.

Excellent locally roasted artisan coffee, friendly service, and a beautiful space but the food is what really makes this place stand out. This cafe would hold it's weight among the best in the city so it's great that food like this has made its way to UBC campus finally!

Latest addition to the coffee and breakfast/lunch/brunch chains on campus, but Loafe is like no other, perhaps too good to be called ‘campus food’? Located inside the new Alumni Student centre, you won’t miss this place, the tables are always packed with students studying and eating and the lineup to order can be sometimes be out the door. Serving up Pallet coffee, pastries, Lucky’s donuts (mmm those bacon toppings), gourmet sandwiches, salads and even house made waffles!
