Love the pizza especially Capricciosia - its a weekly treat for me.
Delicious homemade ice cream and pizza, excellent service
Delicious gelato! Not so sweet and full of flavor. In recommend the seasonal flavours, stracciatella, and Meyer Lemon Sorbet. The pizza is also good and thin crusted -- you can't go wrong with the margherita pizza. Very good fiore di latte and fresh basil leaves.
Great variety of gelato with a blend of fresh and unique ingredients. I can see why this place is critically acclaimed. Enjoyed the burnt caramel gelato, which was not overly sweet and very smooth and tasty. Can't wait to comeback and try the different flavours. I do wish that there was a greater variety a fruit flavoured gelato.
Great vibes, great gelato. While it's very tiny inside, waits can be phenomenally long and it's nearly impossible to find space to sit, the gelato is unreal and the flavour choices are exquisite. The Earl Grey Lavender is to die for, and I can tell why Bella's Gelato is award winning. I'll never say no to a gelato here, and is a staple to a visit in Vancouver. Joshua Hueller also loves it here
Aka the day I tried the most expensive chocolate in the world and its gelato counterpart for only $50. “Daily Hive’s” post on their $50 gelato is what brought me in today. “Bella Gelateria’s” Yaletown location is selling sorbetto made with the world’s most expensive chocolate, to celebrate International Chocolate Day. Although it is only available 4 days after the day, from Saturday, September 16th to the 23rd.
Bella Gelateria is Vancouver’s ever popular spot for gelato. Their gelato has won them international accolades. That’s a pretty big deal. That means they are making gelato that is on par and better than gelato in Italy, where gelato comes from. They have 2 locations in downtown Vancouver in Coal Harbour and Yaletown. The Coal Harbour location serves gelato and other treats only. The Yaletown restaurant serves a full menu as well as cocktails and has many gelato choices. This post is about their Yaletown Marina location.
I had a good experience here when I came to try the featured hot chocolate during the hot chocolate festival. I have yet to try their gelato and food items, which look delicious. I ordered the vegan coconut hot chocolate which came with a macaroon; it was super rich and luxurious. The staff were very friendly, even though I totally didn't fit in (I only had a raincoat and I was soaked, and I was carrying a luggage and instrument, lol). They were still very accommodating, and chose a table that suited my needs.
Bella Gelateria is probably a must go whenever you're around BC. It has lots of awards for their famous gelato.
Upon arriving, the place was packed. My aunt told me its always like that so I waited quite a while for my turn.
I ordered their akbar mashti which has lots of stuff in it. I picked that one because of the pistachios and I liked it. It has the right amount of sweetness! I am not a fan of sweets so if you like something sweet don't get the akbar mashti.
The down side for me is probably its quite pricey for a gelato. Or maybe I am just not a fan of gelato.
PS. I forgot to take a picture of my gelato, probably next time when I had one again. 👍🏻
The Yaletown location serves food and drink and is usually less crowded. Tried the Matcha Gelatini and did not like it. The vodka was very strong and overpowers any of the matcha flavour. It was awful, I felt like I was drinking shots even after they added more gelato scoops to it.
White Coffee and Essex Sea Salt are very good and specific to their location. I like that this location can give you matcha or chocolate drizzle over your gelato. Didn't try their food yet.
In between the two bella gelateria in downtown i actually prefer this location better. There are a couple reasons for that. one is that seems like this place is less crowded than the coal harbour counterpart, and two, the cones over here can be layered with chocolate inside! :DD yes double the happiness of sweetness.
Aside from that the gelato generally tastes the same, it's all good creamy and rich enough to satisfy most people, even though i'm not a big fan of ice cream, this one is definitely okay, definitely worth it.
the scenery and the aesthetics of this place for an gelato place is very very luxurious i must say, maybe i only had sidewalk icecreams in my mind. but nevertheless i do recommend this place.

Decided to try Bella Gelateria’s restaurant for Dineout Vancouver 2016! Dine out’s now over but they should have most of these items on their regular menu as well. Service was...
