Sushi Den is not far from where I live. In Vancouver, we have two kinds of sushi: "normal sushi" and "fancy, expensive sushi." Sushi Den falls under the first category. It's inexpensive, the portions are large and the service is quick. It tastes great, too. I particularly enjoy their bento boxes and yam rolls.

After all the food above, we decided to get a filler to really hit it home. The Ten Zaru Soba came with 5 pieces of tempura (two prawns and one piece each of yam, sweet potato, and kabocha). After teaching an afternoon yoga class to friends, one of them suggested going to Sushi Den. It’s a small restaurant in the International Village and T&T neighbourhood. I ordered the Negitoro roll $3 which was pretty good. I also had the Pork Deep Fried Gyoza $5 (sorry no pic!) It was ok. I personally prefer the traditional Gyoza, just slight pan-fried on one side. The staff seemed to be Japanese, and the service was satisfactory.
