I definitely recommend getting their Lunch Sets!! They are such a great deal :) But the ice cream mochi was quite bad... But overall, the food was pretty good ~
Wow This place is incredibly good! We ordered the miso Ramen. the Sushi was good. I don't recommend the Tako Yaki.
All in All the food was good prices were reasonable.
I would recommend this restaurant
Everything was good (aside from the disappointing mochi ice cream). A good lunch for a good price!
I would definitely recommend ordering their lunch special since it is such a good deal.
I love this place! I went here with my boyfriend at least 6x over the last 6 months. The food is good, the prices are right and the presentation of the food on the dishes look very nice. Our favourite is their chicken karaage which is tender, boneless and well-sauced. If you come here, you must try an order of it or the karaage with rice!
They also have a lunch combo deal where you can get 2-3 items for 7-10$ depending which combo (includes special rolls and ramen). While for dinner you can try out their fancier food with groupon. My favourite was the tuna tartare.

+3.5
I decided to pair my 69 Roll with some nigiri, and the nigiri demonstrated good rice formation. The saba was chewier and smoother in texture than expected, but fortunately, it was not too salty. The inari was sweet and juicy, and it would be great if the rice was also seasoned. The Chopped Scallop Nigiri was amply sweet and came with a good balance of ingredients
It's a small cozy place located on Victoria drive. Upon entering we are greeted always by the server and kitchen. My girlfriend and I had lunch here before and boy Oh boy you certainly get value here. Ramen combos are they way to go for lunch especially if your hungry. Unfortunately it's just a touch shy of traditional ramen. Not that it's bad here, it's still good, but don't expect it to be that good. We decided to try dinner here on a Saturday night.
It was packed from the outside so my girlfriend decided to grab a table first while I parked. Our server, who was the only server, was frantically working really hard. I can see why the service reviews are consistently slow when it's a full house and one server, that's difficult! But nonetheless she is consistent in having a good attitude. Perhaps they may want to look into hiring another server on the weekends.
Ok onto the food. I ordered the chirashi don. My girlfriend ordered a green salad and 5 nigiri sushi. If you choose 5 pieces it's cheaper, they tell you on their menu in their nigiri section. Our friends ordered the bbq eel don and the special of the night, the toro and avocado carpaccio. So how was it?
The green salad is lovely. Refreshing and creamy texture. The nigiri sushi is good value. Big pieces and they are delicious. Very fresh!
The chirashi don is good value too, considering its more expensive else where, and a miso soup is included. I liked the way they do it in house, their way. They dress it with a light creamy sweet dressing with salad. The bbq eel and tamago don is wonderful. Very comforting with the sweetness and smokey flavor of the eel and the light folded textures of the tamago. The tamago traditionally is ordered first in a Japanese restaurant to test the chefs itame skill. Looking at this one visually I can confirm it looks not made in house, which is fine. The bowl is delicious still. The toro is smooth and melts in your mouth with the creamy ripe texture of the avocado, nicely done.
All in all it was a delicious meal. Only downside was the 2 dollar lemonade my girlfriend ordered. It was a canned lemonade from superstore... We thought it would've been made in-house. But overall for food, if your looking for value and decent food, it's good. The kitchen does take their time on plating presentation. When the bill came we noticed the soup house was printed on the bill as well. Perhaps it's affiliated with them?
My coworkers and I always order from here. Most of the time we get the Spicy Salmon Don and Spicy Combo. The Spicy Salmon Don has a good ratio of salmon to rice. I always have left over sashimi. It isn't too spicy either. The Spicy Combo is a good deal. You get 24 pieces of sushi (salmon, tuna, and California roll) for $8.75. They let you do substitution for no extra charge as well (one of my coworker is not a big fan of California rolls). Don't forget to try their AjiKura egg. The egg is usually found in their ramen, which I have not tried, but the egg is very delicious. The people are very nice here.
Aji Kura is located in the middle of the Victoria Street shopping area on 43rd Ave. We came to try it out after seeing the groupon deal. The restaurant is rather small so make reservations. It looks to be operated by some young entrepreneurs. We went on a Friday night with reservations for a party of 4. Because the restaurant is so small, many walk-ins had to be turned away when they were told of the potential wait time. That is rather unfortunate to see that.
Girlfriend had previously eaten here and she said it wasn't too bad, and it wasn't.
I ordered the sushi combo. BC roll, Dynamite roll, and California roll. The combo had a savings of $.50 cents and these are the three rolls I've would have ordered anyways.
I never order ramen unless it is at a ramen house, I never ordered it but I'll probably stay away.
Overall, they have a solid ramen offering and although not the best, it is reasonably priced and tasty with a good sized portion.
