Donburi tastes great and the price is awesome for the size!
Service is OK. Sometimes food takes too long even if it isn't packed
High chance you will smell like the place after you leave 😅
One of favourite non sushi Japanese restaurant in downtown. Close to work and serves up wonderful katsu don especially curry katsu don. The portion is great and you order and pay for them first then they will bring it to you. They do serve up sushi as well but I normally just go for their numerous selection of dons. Prices are reasonable as this is downtown. I definitely recommend this place.
We had the oyako donburi and dynamite roll. Dynamite roll was like no other we tasted. Donburi was good as well. Super awesome place for quick casual Japanese. Definitely will return.

This is where I was introduced to Donburi a few years ago. There are reasons why I have been back often. They are friendly, not expensive, and fairly quick. Maybe a little too quick. This time I had the Bibimbap and it could have profited from either a little more time in the bowl or a hotter bowl. I love the crispy rice that usually forms and was a little disappointed this time. Still the flavors were good and and the hot sauce that comes on the side brought the warmth level up a bit. Miso soup doesn't usually get me too excited but this was tasty. The other items that I have had in the past have all been enjoyable. I'll be back again.
Haven't been here too often because the ventilation is very very poor. However, I've always enjoyed their chicken katsu curry. The stone dishes seem quite popular.
Kita no Donburi is a popular spot for nearby students and working professionals. The food was quite good and the menu is priced relatively reasonable for the downtown area (most items are under $10). And the service was speedy. I would come back for lunch again.

The Wahoo Shokuya lunch set came with a bowl of Miso Soup, some Aburi Nigiri Sushi, some Tempura, some Sashimi, and a small bowl of Soba (and unfortunately, no wahoo). The Miso Soup came with green onion and seaweed and was visibly
You have to order and pay first at this place. I had the Tendon Tentou which is a traditional kind of dish with rice, organic veggies, lotus root, enoki mushroom and tempura pieces of prawn, purple yam, yam and sweet potato and some seaweed on top and sweet soy sauce base for dipping. This is such a healthy and yummy dish, the batter was light and crispy and the sauce was just right for dipping. I think I would like to order their chirashi don next time.
Good prices, quick easy lunch. Donburi bowl with pork belly was good, simple soy glazed pork belly on a bed of lettuce on top of rice. Tuna nigiri was surprisingly good, very fresh, very buttery :)
Wish they weren't always closed!. I love this place. Their Chicken Karage Don is simply the BEST in town. However, the last 3 times I have tried to go they were closed. I am not sure if it's me not reading their open sign correctly or what but I wish it was more consistent.
