I have been a customer of Jenell's for a while. So pleased that I was finally able to come to the beautiful new store on Fraser. Super impressed with the decor, especially the white neon sign! I bought a 9" bacon cheeseburger pie. Our whole family ate it for dinner and everyone found it OUTRAGEOUSLY GOOD! Thanks for the recommendation Jenell. We will be back for that Key Lime or Fat Elvis soon!

I was recently reading a paper (I think it was Metro) that contained a reivew of the Pie Hole. The writer had some very positive things to say about their homemade crust and fantastic pie fillings. This was more than enough to prompt me to visit the shop a few days later. For the visit, I got their Pulled Pork Handpie as well as their Canadian Maple Pie.

Pulled Pork Handpie ($7.25): 4.5/5; The crust was every bit as good as I had hoped: rich, flaky and buttery. There was a good generous amount of pulled pork filling, which was tender, juicy and flavourful.

Canadian Maple Pie ($7): 4/5; The filling had a good assertive maple flavour and was sweet withought being overwhelmingly so. The whipped cream topping fresh, mildly sweet, and a welcomed contrast to the sweeter filling. Of course, due to the filling, the bottom crust of the pie did become a bit soggy, and the crust on the outer edge was slightly over-baked (i.e. it was a bit bitter in some parts). It was still flaky though and melted in my mouth.

While I really enjoyed the food, I do feel that the prices are a bit steep. I'm certain that they use really good, high quality ingredients, but I'm still not sure if that justifies the $7 price tag for a moderately-sized slice of pie. Nevertheless, I will definitely be returning to try some of their other offerings (their Fat Elvis sounds amazing, but was unfortunately unavailable on the time that I visited).

About ten years ago, there was a tv show on air called Pushing Daisies about a man with the ability to bring back the dead… but with certain consequences. Together with his formerly-deceased childhood crush, he used his abilities to solve murder cases. The reason why I mention this is because the main character was a baker and opened a restaurant called “The Pie Hole”. Since then, I’ve had a fascination with being able to walk into a shop called “The Pie Hole” and order up a bunch of different tasty pies.

Friendly staff, very authentic interior design, and most importantly.....super delicious PIE!! If you are craving for a fantastic pie that's not too sweet, this is a wonderful place to be at! The classic Apple pie and the lemon meringue are our all time favourite! Absolutely worth the 39 minutes drive from my place to here, just to enjoy the delicacy <3

The lemon meringue pie was fairly good although it took effort to break through the bottom crust and personal preference is less meringue. My herbal tea was good. The place is clean, the service was friendly, it was fairly busy with take out orders. I did notice that if you order a savoury pie that the wait for it while they heat it up was significant, if you are having it in you can definitely not be on a limited time frame. The product is $$. I do think the marketing on the name is smart and grabs people's attention. I don't know how long they are at this location as on the other end of the building is a development signage for the ever changing Fraser street area. Overall I will return and try a savoury pie next time.

Had the turkey dinner and it really tasted like turkey dinner. Slightly dry. Could use some gravy and/or cranberry sauce or something but not bad. Also tried the banana cream pie which was ok. The crust was good. The price is up there for what it is. The staff could be friendlier. Cashier didn’t know much about the freshly baked pies. Atmosphere of the place could be better. Feels really cold and not homey.

Delicious variety of savoury and sweet pies! Staff were super friendly and great at explaining where everything was as soon as I entered. They sell individual slices as well as whole pies. You can pay extra to add ice cream or whipped cream to your pie. Only disappointment was that not all flavours listed on their website were available when I got there, was looking forward to trying the Earl Grey pie but that wasn't ready until I was about to leave (and was too full for another slice).

Lovely pies and banana cream, fruit pies and looking forward to trying hand made, savoury pies. Great crust that actually want to eat. Great staff and you get to meet the baker!

A welcome addition to the Fraserhood. Loved the decor of the place and the mouthwatering smell and selection of pies in the display case. The chicken carbonara hand pie is a great savory option for a light meal. The apple pie is a delicious classic. It's nice to be able to eat in and enjoy the pies. Service is friendly.

Service is sooo friendly! Really appreciate the guy at the front being so informative and friendly. We had the apple pear pie with ice cream, it’s a MUST with ice cream. The bacon cheeseburger pie is my husband’s favourite! Best way to spend a bit of time indoors while it’s raining and after lunch :)

No immediate regrets for coming here, awesome selection of pies and goodies always available. Remember that immediate cavet? The lingering deliciousness in your mouth and memory with haunt you until your next visit. Come once and come often and unlike your old dealer, the first slice is not free...
