Nice peppery lamb curry (they don't skimp on the whole peppercorns), and the best naan in I've ever had!
Great food, great service. The garlic naan is to die for. Can't go wrong with a meal here.
Delicious and authentic taste, best Indian food. Open 11 am to 11pm.
It's a small restaurant and easy to get missed out on Granville Street. Their food are always great (esp their butter chicken and naan bread). Highly recommended.
This is a small shop located on Granville Street serving up a small menu of popular Indian dishes. Even though they have a few seats, most of the people get takeout from here. During my visit, I had a Veggie Samosa, Butter Chicken on Rice Bowl, and Chicken Naan Wrap. I really enjoyed all of the food, in particular the Chicken Naan Wrap, which was just freaking fantastic. The prices are also very reasonable. All in all, this is a place that I'd highly recommend checking out.
Veggie Samosa ($1.75):
3.5/5
The samosas aren't made on order, and the one that I received was warm, but not hot. However, it was still quite tasty, and contained a nice amount of spiced potatoes. The surrounding pastry was also crisp and had a nice flakiness that I quite enjoyed.
Curry on Rice Bowl (Butter Chicken, $8)
4/5
The curry contained several large pieces of butter chicken. They appear to use at least some dark meat, which was naturally more tender and juicy. The sauce was thick, creamy and quite flavourful, with just enough heat to make me sweat a bit. The basmati rice was also well-cooked and maintained a nice bit of chew even after being covered by the sauce. The portion size was not very big - more of a snack than a meal - but since it's $8, I can't really complain.
Chicken Naan Wrap ($8):
5/5
The wrap was filled with masala chicken, lettuce and some other vegetables. I freaking LOVED this. The naan was warm and fresh and was filled with tender pieces of chicken that were coated in a delicious curry sauce. The lettuce and other vegetables were fresh and crisp. The wrap did get a little soggy from all the sauce, but was still delicious. It was also a pretty generous size, and well worth the $8.
Summary:
Food: 4/5
Price: 4.5/5
Service: N/A
Overall: 4/5
Recommendations: Curry on Rice Bowl, Chicken Naan Wrap
I wholeheartedly agree with Chantal Arseneault and Saugata Poali below! This is definitely the best Indian food I've had downtown, and I am a huge fan. The naans are amazing. My go to is the amazingly creamy and flavourful palak paneer but occasionally give in and get the butter chicken! Even the cha is delicious with lots of cardamom and you can order it without sugar. BUT you want to share this with a date, definitely get it to go :P
What a find!!! Took a dinner of a veggie samosa and a chicken naan wrap and oh boy was that delicious! Will probably head back again tomorrow to try something else...
Very small location but very friendly customer service. They were super busy but our food was made so quickly. And it tastes amazing. Will absolutely return for more.
Great Find!! We stumbled .... Great Find!!
We stumbled on this place while looking for some comfort food on a cold night. Now, I make a point to find Indian restaurants everywhere I travel and Crave was one of the best yet, especially for the price. The naan was fresh and hot, the rice was perfectly cooked and the Chicken Tikka Masala had the right amount of 'kick', something that is missing from almost all Indian restaurants in the West.
The service was great and the atmosphere, although small (a hike in the wall for sure), was friendly.
Highly recommended if you are looking for a quick bite in the area.
Quick and tasty. Easy in and out style, need more of these for ethnic cuisine places! The butter chicken was actually really good, It had a very nice and buttery composition and full of flavour, and the Naan was amazing, so doughy and it had a light oily texture to it, it was so good dipping in the butter chicken sauce. The rice was rice and the lentils were ok. All in all solid option for a quick bite.
My favourite lunch spot!. I work just around the corner from here and I have to hold myself back from getting their butter chicken and naan everyday for lunch. It's just so good and delicious!
It feels like your eating a home cooked meal and nothing in the world beats that!
ordered pickup for the curries and some roti, they were all not bad, good variety of vegan options. although i expected a bit more for the slightly higher price.
I will note, however, there was no option for inclusion of eating utensils or napkins. The pickup order did not include either.
service was extremely friendly, the restaurant looked very modern as well as covid safe. food was prepared at reasonable time frame.
labels on the different dishes would be nice.
This was first Indian Cuisine restaurant we tried in Canada on my wife’s birthday July 22,2019.
We celebrated more than 5 occasions since last year.
Since then on all our special occasions we just celebrate here because:
They are so dedicated for delivering quality food as per my expectations. Place is also fancy & at prime location.
1. Accessibility : 5 minutes walk from Skytrain Station or a lot of paid parking available.
2. Taste : 10

Last time we tried desserts also & it was also more than expectations.
Hopefully will visit again on my Birthday 🥳
Unsure of what could have been the best choice as looking for an AYCE restaurant I’ve ended up going for some Indian chillies
The restaurant is bright and clean and located just over one of the most exclusive streets in Downtown. As i passed the entrance, I was welcomed by the kind and attentive staff and asked if I wanted to go for the lunch buffet or for the a la carte menù.
As I said above I take the buffet as my choice and I’ve been absolutely satisfied.
The variety is excellent as well as the chillies from which you get to choose. Every time your naan is finished you get a refill and I really want to underline how the quality of the food, even though the price is pretty low, is absolutely superior. Indeed, talking about the price, even if I knew what it was going to be, I was surprised when received my bill. Just 23$+taxes for a plethora of Indian delicacies and a super friendly and attentive staff. ABSOLUTELY OUTRAGEOUS
You bring indian restaurant to a new level ! I have to say this is the best Indian Restaurant i have tried.
All the stuffs are looks clean in shirt and tie, Very polite , Music not too loud. Ambiance is comfort and quiet. Sometime I just want to be quiet and enjoy your food ,This one is Awesome!
It was past 9pm and I was eating solo after shopping in the neighborhood. I saw the sign & came up. I’ve been to the neighborhood many times but never come to this restaurant. The place is very clean. I asked them to cook me real Indian food, not the one for westerner tastebuds. Maybe a bit pricey $19 for a lamb curry. But consider it’s cleanliness, service, food quality & in the heart of downtown shopping district of Vancouver, I think it was very worth it! Will definitely be back !!
The environment and food was great but not something special. The service was good and cheerful. Overall had a good meal and the place does well.
I've noticed some of the mixed reviews and that's unfortunate. However, based on my experience it's a great place to indulge in way too much Indian food! I was there during lunch where groups (families and professionals) mainly opted for the buffet!
