An appealing room, friendly service, and a creative menu, filled with interesting ingredients like mustard greens, sunroot, pine mushrooms, burdock, fennel pollen, black trumpets, green faro, etc. I started with the Marigold’s Gimlet cocktail, very beautifully presented and well balanced flavours. I then had the poached fresh Urban Digs Egg presented over browned butter and potato puree and crumbles of hazelnut and blue cheese on the plate. Lovely. Followed by the fire roasted green faro, with spruce tips, black garlic, and sorrel, a dish I have never seen before. Also very tasty. The ice cream was wonderful and the crust had a fabulous texture
Cool environment and friendly knowledgeable staff. The food is very creative and very delicious. The Uni custard, radishes and the beef collar were all great. Looking forward to going back.
I had the gluten free Benny and it was absolutely delicious as was the coffee and friendly service. We had a large table for brunch and everyone was extremely happy with their choices.
