My friends and I love coming to your kerrisdale location. It is definitely our go to meeting place. The staff is always so welcoming, and we love seeing them. The smell of the oven, baking the delicious pastries and bread, the delicious sandwiches made on mini baguettes, my mouth waters just thinking about it. It is truly our happy place!!!!!❤️
The macaron-making class was incredible and surpassed my expectations. Ricardo clearly explained and demonstrated the process, and then allowed the participants to try each step ourselves. He also patiently answered all of our questions, and made us feel very comfortable. I would highly recommend this class to anyone who is curious about how macarons are made and is looking for a fun activity in Vancouver.
This is a French cafe/patisserie with a couple of locations in Vancouver. I've previously been to their Kerrisdale location and have recently checked out their Downtown store, which is located right by the Vancouver Art Gallery. Their menu consists of pastries, cakes, drinks, and various breakfast/lunch fare. I had their Double Baked Milk Chocolate Hazelnut Croissant, Lemon Tart, Tiramisu, as well as an Almond Croissant for my mom. The food was good; the prices are a tad on the higher side but nothing outrageous. All in all, this is a decent joint for some tasty French treats.
Double Baked Milk Chocolate Hazelnut Croissant ($5.50):
4/5
The croissant was filled with a chocolatey paste, and was topped with a drizzle of milk chocolate as well as hazelnuts. It was crispy and had a great buttery flavour. The chocolate provided a nice sweetness and the hazelnuts a great crunch; unfortunately, I did find some of the nuts to be a little stale.
Lemon Tart ($6.95):
4/5
This consisted of a tart shell filled with lemon curd and vanilla, and is finished with pearl sugar. The lemon curd was smooth and creamy, with a fantastic tanginess; I did find the vanilla to be a bit gummy and lacking in flavour. The pearl sugar provided a great bit of texture. The crust was tender; I did find it to be a bit soggy, however.
Tiramisu ($6.95):
4/5
This consisted of a sponge cake topped with marscapone cream. The cream had a great fragrance of coffee, and a perfect bittersweet flavour. The cake on the bottom was a bit on the dry side.
Almond Croissant ($4.95):

The chocolate dessert and lemon tart are divine....just the right tartness. The macarons are only ok so pass on them and stick to their other desserts.

Disclosure: All food and beverages were complimentary as part of a media tasting, but all opinions are my own. For a limited time, you will be able to get a taste of the lavvender field of Provence France at Faubourg. Faubourg has launched their summer lavender menu which features products including lavender earl grey macarons, lavender and strawberry pastries, lavender mixed berry smoothies, lavender lattes, lavender tea lattes, blueberry and lavender chaussons, and more. The menu is already available now and will be available until early to mid September.
If you are out for a leisurely stroll and want to stop for some desserts - this is a great spot to perch yourself on the patio and do so.
We personally think that both the pastries and beverages could have some improvements.
Total French cuisine Paris experience! From the great staff to the Devine pastry’s and treats! As well as the yummy coffee and tea options totally recommend!
Pastries, (almost all I have tried) were beautiful! But coffee was moderate ... As I am a sweet lover, this cafe has been there, on my favorite list ... staff are ok but not very nice and friendly
The Faubourg Coffee Shop is located on Hornby Street downtown Vancouver, which is right across the street from Vancouver Arts Gallery. My friends took me to there couple times to try a different kind of desserts. The place is nice quiet. The servers were friendly and helpful. The desserts look great and have different presentation. They all tasted different from each other. I love this place.
○good service
○good food / good dessert / not a fan of their drinks though
○family friendly
○average price
○if I had to choose 1 dish: ham and cheese croissant
○would i go back? Yes
Not great but pretty dam good cakes! The flavours were clearly expressed and tasted natural. There was nice harmony, balance amd contrast in the flavours. My new fav place for cake. Their regular croissants are pretty tasty also!
My favourite place to get croissants and all the indulgences that a bakery offers. Their cappuccino and sandwiches are delicious. Once in a while I get some macarons or other desserts and they never disappoint. Try the pistachio croissant or pane au chocolat!
Birthday Brunch goals! ♥️
During my Vancouver birthday trip, I wanted to do everything that I love. I found this cafe on Google and added it to my checklist. This cafe has welcoming ambiance and good food to lift up your mood. They have freshly bake breads which are truly amazing and that’s the best part as we could make our own Sandwich! I don’t think my birthday morning will be as good without visiting this place!
If you’re in Vancouver, this place is a MUST visit!
We ordered:
• Salted Pretzel
• Caramel Macchiato
• Make your own Sandwich
• Mocha

Great little coffee shop with a nice outdoor space. Located across from the art gallery. Beautiful decor inside with plenty of seating. Americano was strong, the way I like it. Prices are a little high. $5.35 for the almond croissant.
Very delicious and reasonably priced. We had a great breakfast here. They are the friendliest people and very helpful in finding something you’ll enjoy. The place is clean, nicely decorated, and very tasty.
4.5 - A cozy little French Cafe with a great selection of fresh and creatively made pastries and sandwiches. We come here quite a bit. Our usuals are the double chocolate pistachio croissant and the vegetarian spinach and feta croissant and we love them both.
Their Americanos could be slightly better, but that's because I tend to like my coffee quite strong, so usually I get my Americano with an extra shot of espresso, I find the single to be a little watery for me.
The atmosphere and environment is really lovely and tastefully decorated and all the windows gives you a cozy place to sit, observe and just Be. I find the staff varies, as sometimes when we walk in there's a warm and attentive friendly greeting and sometimes there isn't.
There's also a great space outside to sit if you enjoy a nice chilly morning with your coffee cup and pastry watching the locals walk by :)
The macaroons were delicious and went so well with the coffee!😁
It was a very quiet, trendy café ✨
The cakes and bread looked great too, so I'd definitely go back!✨
Delicious beverages and mousse cakes, and very cute cafe vibe! The service wasn’t too friendly. The menu had a good amount of variety and our lavender rooibus tea was amazing.
