BEST SUSHI I've had in a while. Everything is super super fresh, great quality fish!
Would definitely recommend for a small group but I would definitely make a reservation as it gets very very busy. The portions are not super big but I would get a bunch of different items to do family style so you can try everything!
Let the photos of the food speak for itself. RUN, don't WALK.
Big menu and great food! Loved the decor and the staff were fantastic. We went for our anniversary, they brought us free dessert with a sparkler while all the staff came to our table and cheered. Super fun! We LOVED the Poseidon Sashimi. Highly recommend, especially for a special occasion! Be careful not to over-order like we did!
West Broadway's best go-to restaurant for japanese food. It's best to go with a group if 4 or 6 people so that you can order a bunch of stuff to share. It gets busy so book in advance. The menu is huge. Some items are a bit on the small side but every bite is delectable. All the dishes and drinks are served in colorful and unique ways. My personal favorite dishes are their pressed sushi. Save room for dessert!
Came on a weekday night, not many people. The waiters are very friendly and the store decoration is very distinctive. The food is delicious and the sashimi is fresh. Highly recommend the beef(so juicy!) and sea urchin!
Been here a few times, and it's an amazing spot to get Japanese tapas. Service is always great, and ambience is also super nice.
We ordered the 7 kinds Poseidon Sashimi and everything was super fresh, and tasted amazing. We opted for the spot prawn heads to be deep fried and did not regret it one bit. I'm not one to usually eat the shrimp heads but I couldn't stop eating these ones.
We also ordered the steak curry yakiudon, which was so delicious. The next thing we tried was the uni, ikura & crab carbonara udon, which again, tasted really good.
Overall, always delicious food, and we will definitely be back more often!
A place I could wax poetically about for what could probably be *hours*. Went at a quieter time in the day and it was lovely, beautiful decor and friendly staff.
And the food. THE FOOD. Gorgeous and fresh, every bite is better than the last. Until you inevitably get to the last bite and realize there's no more. My only regret is that I didn't go with enough people in my group and as such there are things I wanted to try but didn't get a chance to.
Also: the fries. Just get them, in all their kani-miso butter glory, that's all.
Part of the Kingyo and Raisu family of restaurants, this place is great! This place has more of a true Izakaya feeling where it's loud, bustling and busy and more drinking. Very fun for couples and larger groups alike! Their food is great and they have lots of options for raw fish and unique flavors for meat and seafood. I really enjoyed the uni carbonara udon, the braised pork jowl, the corn kakiage and the aburi bluefin tuna. Definitely check it out but make reservations ahead of time if you can, it gets very busy weekends and even some weeknights!
An institution for Japanese food in Vancouver! Suika is an incredible dining experience that features many fabulous rotating options. The staff are incredibly kind and accommodating, and the energy here is unparalleled. Come on your birthday for a fun experience and free dessert!
