Hands down the best sushi in Vancouver! Even my friends that are not very fond of sushi enjoy the meals here and always leave stuffed. All the combos, specialty rolls, and gyoza are delicious with excellent portions!
Came back after a year and was pleased to find that the quality's just as good as I remembered. I've had a lot of sushi in my life and the quality here is as good as can be found. I appreciate restaurants that remain consistent like Kadoya. Prices are affordable so it's a good place to dine on a budget.
Fresh, delicious food with generous portion sizes. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Love their Gangster Chef roll and Salmon & Avocado roll! Healthy brown rice option is available for all rolls and nigiri.
Pricey but delicious.
The Crazy Girl roll’s each individual piece is deep fried and lathered with sweet chilli sauce. The philly cheese, avocado & sweet chilli sauce fit well together.
The Vancouver spider roll is huge but average.
The prawn/ebi gyoza is literally stuffed with prawn & vegetable filling.
My recommendation- the prawn gyoza!
It's a small restaurant but the food is wonderful!! There are classic Japanese dishes as well as quite a few original items that are unique to the business. Sashimi is the freshest with huge servings. Ambiance is simple yet very welcoming and cozy.
Kadoya started a new menu a few months ago and it's become my go to restaurant on Davie Street. They added so many great special rolls and lunch boxes. They serve lunch boxes until 5pm now and you can get tempura, teriyaki, gyoza, california roll, and salad in the cheapest box all for under $10! Among the rolls, the Davie Roll and Tuna Tataki roll are my personal favourites. Servers are friendly and awesome too. You won't regret going here for sure
Decent sushi spot for large quantities while maintaining right quality. Many different big cheap rolls and large sashimi portions. The tuna tataki is absolutely huge.
Inexpensive, delicious, friendly service. I come here every time I'm in Vancouver. I've been here three days, and eaten here each of those days. So good!
Kings of deep fried and chicken!
Kadoya is really good with deep fried dishes as well as chicken dishes. I highly recommend Vegetable Gyoza and Yakitori!
Other recommendations are Aburi, Salmon kama, Kings Roll, and chicken teriyaki lunch box.
Really good value and top notch food. No wonder it's so popular!
The Spicy Tuna Sashimi and Spiky Roll will make your taste buds dance!

If you're in a rush the chicken teriyaki and chicken katsu don here are amazing as well. I noticed that nearly all chicken dishes here are super tasty!
A wonderful food!
My family was so happy with food and atmosphere here. The restaurant was not so bright and new modern but food was amazing. I was arranged a table near to kitchen, so i could see a small fridge where keep ingredients for Sushi. That made me so exiting. We really loved all food that we order. You should try “deluxe sashimi, it was so fresh and amazing”. Some rolls was impressive with decorations and quality.
I’m sure be back here next time with my friends and family.

Great place for japanese food. The service is really good and the prices are accessible.

This was the first time for me to visit this place. Sushi was very fresh with really awesome sauces. One thing specialty is all staff welcome us with smile when we come in :)👍
Oh MY GOODness!!! This place is ONE OF THE BEST IN VANCOUVER in terms of bentos. I have a descriminating taste bud.... but the food here is just irresistably delicious. The sashimi was so fresh, salad was tasty, unagi and dynamite sushi were SOOOO GOOD that I had to uhmmm yummm! The tempura, nice and crispy.
The friendly owner said their chef is from a 5 star hotel and she does the sushi herself with carefull attention. Im not surprised. Hmm staff are super nice and friendly. So I can only say, WE WILL BE BACK FOR MORE! The place is small so make reservations by calling before you go.
Very pleasantly surprised by this little sushi spot! The dinner box was a great value item - tons of food for the price! Sashimi was good quality and the special rolls were all very good. Friendly staff as well!
Damn amazing place for some authentic and fresh Japanese food! The flavor is definitely one of the best ever had in Vancouver and the quality is very good considering it is delivered food. Would go to the store later instead of ordering on Uber.
We stumbled upon this magnificent restaurant by mere luck. However, WHAT A GREAT FIND! The servers are incredibly polite and always helpful! The sushi rolls came before anything else! It was so quick and delicious.
We ordered the Drunken Tiger Roll, Sunset Roll and my now, personal favorite: The Queen Roll (the green one).
I seriously suggest coming here and try this food.
