Without doubt one of Vancouver's best restaurants, and arguably one of Canada's as Chef Alex Chen proved at the Canadian Culinary Championships by winning the Gold medal as Canada's Best Chef ! The food is matched with impeccable service. Highly recommended.

Went to Boulevard for happy hour and had mixed, but mostly positive feelings. If the food wasn’t that good, my rating would be lower, but more on that later. We chose to sit inside for happy hour and were the only table in the vicinity when we sat down. I think they were in the middle of a shift change or something as it took 10 mins before someone came back to check on us. Never once were we asked how the food was, if we wanted another drink, or a refill of water. By the end of the experience, we had a different server who gave us the bill versus the person who took our order (hence the shift change comment). Outside of the slow start, the food at Boulevard does not disappoint so they very much deserve the stars for the food. The portions for happy hour are very generous. The food tastes fresh, and not overpowering with salt or spice. The flavours were light, very refreshing, and well made. I will definitely give them another try in the future, as I probably caught them at a bad time. For now, I’ll stick with my go to places before heading back.

Overall could have been better. The appetizers were not very good at all. The foie gras was just bad. Straight up bad. The Hokkaido scallop was okay. I was disappointed that there was just 1 scallop on the dish. The caviar tasting was good. The house mad blinis were good. We were very impressed by the oysters today because the foam accompanying the oysters was just really great! The main courses were okay. The desserts were really delicious though.

Came here for my birthday with my daughter. It is a bar, so you can imagine how noisy it could be after work. The business was actually quite good ~ when I came here at 5.30, the whole place is full, and there are still people waiting at reception. I have to say the food is pretty good: local oyster is very fresh & delicious in fair price. Wagyu carpaccio is very well seasoned, amazing. And clam chowder brings warm & happiness from your tongue to your heart. Cod is a good choice, it fried so well, somehow looks like a piece of cake, tender & juicy. Lamb duo is also perfectly cooked, sauce is good and side dish is very tasty. The restaurant surprised me with a piece of free cake, presented in a plate with wonderful blessings, thanks so much. Well, to be frank, the pear ice cream, or apple & chestnut ice cream is much better, don't miss it in your visit. The service, is okay. I noticed a waitress broke vase when she was cleaning the table. But don't forget it is a bar, no need to be too serious. In this cozy place, relax yourself, enjoy the wonderful foods, that's the only thing you should do.

Great happy hour for high quality food! Deliver gorgeously plated food that will break the bank on regular menu and portions are on the smaller side. If you have budget, totally worth the visit. Have a good size patio that wraps around the Sutton Hotel.

This would have been a 3 star review but besides a few items everything else was quite good. I would stay away from the Caesar salad unless you like big chunks of anchovies in your salad, I would also steer clear from the duck, it sounded a lot better than it tasted. Now the good stuff. The lamb was great as well as the brant lake wagyu beef carpaccio. The drinks were also quite good try the Mezcal Last World. All the deserts we had were very good as well. The service was great, the ambiance of the restaurant is very nice.

A really superb experience for my friend’s birthday. The servers were incredibly nice and accommodating. I had the teng pao no.2 and espresso martini for drinks and they were both delicious. The chef sent us some complimentary appetizers which were greatly appreciated. The baked oysters were amazing. As for the meal, I opted for the prix fixe option ($62). I ordered the albacore tuna, the grilled hanger steak and the passion fruit tart. The albacore tuna was very fresh and I loved the crispy chips. The grilled hanger steak was super unique. The potato was fluffy like a cloud and the steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare. The dessert was also phenomenal. I got to try my friend’s dishes as well, and I can confirm the clam chowder and ling cod were tasty as well! The best dessert I tried that night was the salted sesame praline bar. Definitely get that the next time you go!

We came for the seafood but stayed for the dessertssss! (I really did try to order everyone of them, Chef Kenta Takahashi's idea of a raspberry cheesecake totally blew me away!) Impeccable service and decent wine selection.

Seafood tower was ok. The crab was fresh and the oysters flavourful. Beef carpaccio was presented well, but marbling in the meat wasn’t consistent. Soup was good but a touch too creamy. Desserts were excellent - delicate flavours and good balance. Recommend coming here for the oysters and dessert. They also made a nice piece for our anniversary dinner which was a nice touch.
