We had the roast beef dinner. Beef was done perfectly and was very tender. Great food and great service.
Great little pub. Due to my career I’ve been to a large amount of pubs and craft breweries all over Canada so I’d like to think my opinion is pretty decent! Moved to Sidney 3 years ago, and while there may be higher end places in town, that I also love and frequent, Boondocks is always my go to. It’s got a comfortable decor inside, very very friendly staff, easy going customers, and really enjoyable food. I’ve eaten wings at every place in the local area and theirs are amongst the best. Give it a try.
Absolutely wonderful experience. Atmosphere is great. Service staff are super attentive and friendly. Food was AMAZING. Honestly recommend the taco bowl!
We were on the banquet room side watching the band The Distractions play. A good fun night, not overly busy. The food was very tasty, with the menu offering a variety of all sorts of dishes...pub style! Their garlic fries were excellent..we will be back!
We stopped here on our way to the ferry back to twassen, We were hungry tired and just wanted to quit bite to eat. Being from out of town we hoped that the food was good and to our surprise we had the best chicken wings and pizza we've ever had! If I'm ever in Vancouver again I will be making a point to stop here for chicken wings, It's worth the ferry ride over.
We went last night with a large group of people. Everyone ordered drinks and meals and I have to say, everyone was very pleased with everything. The service was fantastic. Food came out in good time and was delicious. We were still talking today about how much we enjoyed it. We will definately come back.
We LOVE Boondocks!
Last Saturday evening, greeted like family (we have been a few times but we are not regulars)
The food is down to earth as is the atmosphere, nothing pretentious just honest to goodness grub, relaxed setting and friendly staff.
It was our server (Teah?)'s FIRST shift and whilst it was evident that she has previous experience in hospitality, she took this to a whole new level.
The kitchen was VERY busy as they had a large party in the function suite but we were warned there would be a delay and our food came exactly when we were told it would. Teah had everything under control with such an easy going manner that we were quite happy just waiting.
She checked all her tables frequently during that time and made sure drinks etc were supplied quickly.
The locals menu is VERY good value for money and the roast dinner is one of my favourites.

Andy and Wendy welcome you with open arms...best live entertainment in Sidney!!! The live band had the dance floor jumping... Our server was amazing...quick service friendly and great food...large banquet room for any event...weddings, birthdays, anniversaries...you name it and they will accommodate your request...definitely family friendly and a for sure a returning customer in me!!!
We ordered in tonight - chicken parm, fish with yam fries, lemon pepper and honey garlic wings. Delivery was really quick and friendly, every item was delicious and the bill was totally reasonable. Couldn’t have asked for more!
We're locals to Sidney and this restaurant has been a lovely staple in town. They have live music, outdoor seating and great food and drinks! It's a great little spot to bring the whole family to (our nephews LOVE the hot wings).
