Very happy with the experience and the food here. Spent a few hours in Trenton Ontario and needed to have breakfast. Soooo happy we went to Momma's Diner! Loved the place for numbers of things.
1. The customer service. - the lady that was serving was very friendly and very welcoming. Knew how to make customers feel at home. I love a resto that has that homey feel. This place did not disappoint. One of the things I look for in a resto is if it is frequented by the locals..and this place definitely is frequented by the locals. The server knew her people really well. Even saw her set up a table for a couple she saw pulling in at the parking lot and sat them at what in guessing is their favourite table, got gramps and granny's coffee ready so all they had to do was sit and order their meals. Also, our meals came out not too long from when we placed the order.
2. Food - can not go wrong with a really good 3 meat 3 egg cmwith home fries and toast combo or even a french toast breakfast with 1 meat and eggs. If you've ever been to some diners and noticed how greasy their meals are or how salty they can be, this place sure is the opposite. Our meals were well cooked, not greasy at all. I had the burger with my breakfast and i really enjoyed having that burger with my baked beans and eggs and toast. My gf had the french toast with bacon and eggs. And it looked like a really good portion of french toast and eggs. Bacon cooked to her liking. Almost diabetic friendly pancake syrup as it was not too sweet.
3. Price - let's just say that our 2 meals, 2 coffees, with tip, was the equivalent of what 1 maybe 2 breakfast plates you'd get at a chain breakfast diner aka *ennys or *hop. The pricing is 100% budget friendly especially nowadays when every dime or nickel counts
Overall:
Definitely would return to this place if ever in the area.
I enjoyed the breakfast and pricing was decent...didn't like the hamburger with the breakfast....thought I would. But good food. I recommend
Loved the food there. Was delicious and fresh. The server Dawn was so friendly and sweet, they also recognized that my kids were getting hangry and offered a tart to keep them happy. It’s the little details that made this dining experience great.
We made a pit stop here for lunch travelling from Quebec to Hamilton with my 3 year old son. We hate stopping at those on route stops on the 401 and I’m so glad we tried mommas! The three of us were all in the mode for different things so a diner was a nice idea. My 3 year old got a hamburger from the kids menu and it was HUGE. Also tons of fries, mom and dad were happy to share. I had a standard breakfast that was just perfect and my husband had a sandwich (can’t remember which) that he enjoyed. Better than the food we’re to two amazing woman working that day. We got there an hour before close but they didn’t make us feel like they were eager for us to leave and they were so sweet with my son (who is a ham and demands attention from everyone haha). Next time we do that drive we will be sure to stop back in. Thanks!
Good food. Definitely a busy breakfast spot. We definitely enjoyed our breakfast and the portions were huge! The bathroom was not overly clean and the atmosphere inside was a bit drab. Other than that. Super delicious
Amazing breakfast! Great atmosphere and lovely staff. :)
This place is everything you want in a diner: cozy and clean with tasty food, fast and friendly service and lots of breakfast options. I had the breakfast poutine with my two-egg breakfast and a side of tomatoes. They even prompted me for refills of my decaf, which rarely happens any place I order decaf. An underrated gem!
Fantastic food, my son and I had the eggs benedict. They were cooked to perfection, large portions and fantastic service. Would not hesitate to go back when in the area.
