Mmmmm... Son had the brisket sandwich (bread separate) and there was enough brisket to take home for dinner ("Yes, sonny, it's steak"), Better-half had the pulled pork on egg bread burger bun with slaw, and brisket sandwich with horseradish mayo, fired onions and purple cabbage cole slaw for me. Added bonus was a chance to sample something not yet on the menu: deep-fried minced brisket varenyky with paprika rub. Bon apetit! (Park on Rothsay, one west of Islington, southside).
We had Appalachia cater our wedding dinner. Everything from the tasting, the order, payment and pickup went super smooth. Our guests raved about the BBQ and requested the restaurant details. People loved it so much that I have been asked to bring their BBQ sauce to family gatherings coming up. The fan favourites were the wings, pulled pork and brisket.

I don’t normally feel the need to review food, especially bbq, but this was so delicious (and local!) that I felt the need to. We went for a late lunch today and had ribs (usually only ready after 5pm but they were ready a little early), pulled pork sandwich, fries and baked beans. Um, ya - so so good. We just ate the leftovers for dinner and it was still so good. Service was great, as well. Highly recommend it if you're in the 'hood.
