Came here in the late afternoon on a Sunday for dinner. It's a lively and cozy restaurant, and the servers were attentive. We were seated soon after arriving and I ordered the Pork Souvlaki Dinner with Rice and Mixed Vegetables. I appreciated that complimentary pita slices and a Side Greek Salad are included with all souvlaki dinner sets, and that the portions are good for the price. For about $20, I felt nice and full. The main downside was that I found the rice and veggies were a bit too bland for my liking.
Overall, reasonable price for the portions, as well as decent taste. I would consider returning if I'm in the area again.
Ordered delivery of their roast lamb main, on a cold, holiday Monday. Though they were busy and warned that my order might take up to 45 minutes, my meal arrived, hot and fresh, delivered by a friendly delivery driver, in much less time. The meal was satisfying, comfort food--sometimes that's exactly what you want.
It was an exquisite evening. We had interesting and creative fish dinner. Service was friendly and knowledgeable. Looking forward to going again.
Had lunch, was incredibly filling for the $11 I paid. will definitely be returning on my lunch breaks since i work just down the street. i recommend this place.
it was my first time being here at The Friendly Greek. My friend recommended it to me and i was very surprised how the food and service was. Food was really good and was like true authentic greek food and the staff was really kind and helpful

Family Friendly. Hearty basic Greek food in a nice open restaurant was a great option for a family meal. The food was very satisfying with the beautifully salty and hot saganaki cheese served with basic grilled hamburger bun bread. The donair platter had plenty of food on it making it a satisfyingly filling dish and the moussaka was packed with an assortment of veggies.
It's hard to imagine going wrong with this restaurant especially when wandering into it on weekday evening with a group of six people with kids. The servers were helpful in setting us up at a comfortable table and seemed to know their regulars. Convenient and satisfying, this is a nice place to spot by if you're in the neighbourhood.
Great Food, Great Service. I went to the Friendly Greek on the Danforth last week and the staff were so nice and the food was AWSOME!
Is good, yeah?. I was nervous about going here based on the few negative reviews, but it was a suggested place to meet, so I went. Its a typical Greek restaurant, nothing fancy, little run down, run by what looked like the entire family and it's extensions. I had the Gyro's in a pita. It was exactly what I wanted it to be like, it was very good. The fries that came with it were nothing special, but certainly edible. Everything was hot, the portions were huge, and the price was right. I'll go back.
The greek food fast food place.... We like going there for Greek food that's quick and easy to choose from. Go with your friends but not for a special night.
