I came in for a cold pint and some hot wings. I ordered a pound of Buffalo Butter with a side of fries. The wings were quite big and the Buffalo Butter was taaaaaasssty! A large pint of Heineken and some side dip all came to $30 after tax and tip. A bit pricey but definitely delicious and worth a visit.
This is our Wednesday post game hang out joint! Wednesdays is the karaoke night and it's a bustling bar to go to in the greek town area. There is a good variety on the tap. The menu goes beyond the general bar food. Try the Guinness pot pie .. it is very good. Menu prices are not over the top. Secret tip: if you come in together as part of a sports team or group, you get free nachos for the table. Isn't that fun?
It's a pub, it's part of the city-wide chain and someone might say it's in need of renovations. But that's what makes it great. It's a classic in a time when everyone is going big and fancy, and here is Fox and Fiddle, still one of the more popular places on the Danforth offering well priced food, great beer selection and friendly staff.
Personally I hope this location never updates because the look and feel of pubs like this are few and far between these days. It has personality and it has character. It's also massive and can accommodate quite a crowd. The bar area itself is one of the largest.
