Wasn't overly impressed. The place is run down. The food is ok I had the curry goat and oxtail. Curry goat was good. On tail was ok. Overall not bad but nothing special.

This little gem sits by Humber College's Lakeshore Campus and it quickly established itself as a place where I could pick up a good curry during those long days stuck studying.

Quick Description: I would recommend this place; the food is delicious, the price is modest, and the staff are very friendly.

Food: The menu has a number of different options and given that I am not all that familiar with Caribbean cuisine, I went with those options that I could recognize, which included curry goat and their boneless jerk chicken. Both were served with rice and beans and a light salad. Without any hesitation, I can safely say that the food was phenomenal and it was very filling for the portions you would receive. The price was also modest for most of the items, and as such it was a popular choice for me when I had to select a restaurant for take-out.

Atmosphere: The restaurant was always quiet when I was inside, although I would see people sitting inside every now and then. Most of the other patrons who I stood in line with all appeared to be ordering it as take-out like myself.

Staff: The staff were especially friendly and very welcoming both to myself and the others who came in to order. They were knowledgeable about the food as well and were quick to let me know of any deals that were available that I would be interested in later in the week.

Best Currants Rolls. Ducky's Roti is located in an old plaza west of Lakeshore and Kipling. In the former location of Roti Roti (now located at Albion and Islington), Ducky's is a pleasant discovery in the Humber College community. Although small, this authentic restaurant is cozy and efficient. While it may be quite empty during weekdays, this place is lively and fun on the weekends. I enjoy popping in for a quick doubles or aloo pie with 'slight peppa,' paired with a red Solo. I tend to not order dhalpouri or bussupshot (paratha) in restaurants anyways because I can get it from family, but the dhalpouri here is good (although sometimes there's not enough dhal between the layers) and the bussupshot is a gamble; depending on who the cooks are it comes out different every time. However, Ducky's is known as the distributer of currants rolls, one of the most loves pastries in the West Indian community. The patience and skill it takes to make perfect currants rolls is rare, and Ducky's makes them perfect every time. They deliver their fresh currants rolls to almost every west indian grocery story or roti shop in the GTA, and for good reason. Their currants rolls are flaky and jam-packed with the sweet, prune-like currants. Cut into sizeable slices and sold in packages of 2, Ducky's currants rolls are in a class of their own.
I highly recommend paying a visit to Ducky's during the weekend to savour some traditional West Indian cuisine. If you're new to West Indian food, I recommend trying something simple, like the Roti with Curry Chicken. In terms of pepper/heat level, try it mild or with 'slight pepper' the first time. In terms of beverages, you can't go wrong with a cold bottle of Peardrax or a Solo. Ask the attendant behind the counter to open it for you and you can enjoy it while you wait for your order.

In terms of the sweets, currants rolls are the BEST here, and you can't go wrong with them. They are simply delectable and I try to buy them fresh as often as I can.

Ducky's is a really awesome Caribbean cuisine restaurant with quick service and great food. Do not  let the dingy ambiance and the seating fool you into thinking its just some other Caribbean joint with the usual jerk chicken and curry goat kind of items. The rotis are delicious and the chicken roti is my all time favorite. The prices are cheap and the service is quick, its a good place to grab a fast take out.
