For a small restaurant downtown, they can accommodate a group party nicely. Excellent service and variety of food choices. I would recommend it for those looking for a place to have a "get together" party.
Great spot lovely meal. Helpful staff. Good value.
Just had some post-football wings here with my gf...well, she had the burger. My wings were ordered with maple sriracha and I found them to be too mild. I asked for suicide sauce on the side - boy oh boy - I think the hot sauce would've been sufficient. Thank goodness for my blue cheese to keep things cool, haha. Gf enjoyed her burger old fashioned with swiss and mush added extra. $56 after tax and tip (2 adult bevvies included). Typical Firkin fare. Menu was appealing. We enjoyed it:)
Visit this place with a group of friends . Not busy for a Saturday, next door Thai food satay on the road and drums & flat with music seem more busier than this place . Try their nachos .. seem same as usual as.most of the bars .
Price is very high compare to other. Bars
We were in need of a pint on Saturday evening, so our search for bar food landed is at The Pheasant.
After our pints were ordered, we got down to the task of choosing our meals. SWMBO decided to stick with one of her pub favourites: Fish and Chips. The beer battered haddock was a decent size, and it was cooked until it was a proper crispy outside, yet flaky inside.
I had the Butter Chicken. I guess I shouldn't be surprised that the sauce was a bit milder than traditional Indian recipes, but it still had a pleasant flavour. The portion of chicken was a bit small for the price ($15), in my opinion. The chicken was served on top of tandoori mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were smooth, but I don't know what made them tandoori.
After a couple of hours with my Ultimate Frisbee team, everyone was starving. Someone suggested this place close by on Avenue Rd. just off Hwy 401. It had a nice patio and the updated Firkin look on the inside. They offered us a team platter special with two pitchers. We could not turn it down. The platter came with veggie sticks, potato wedges, nachos, and cheesy bread. I ordered a Sheppard's Pie ($13) on top of that for good measure. It was typical pub style. To me the food was a bit on the pricey side for the quality you get. The environment was great for a team outing after tough loss on the field. It's still early in the season.
Great Spot to Meet Friends. Always a great spot to meet up with friends or enjoy the patio on summer days... Very good service, decent pub fare....
My favorite place in Toronto for wings and beer. Great atmosphere and service.
Fast service. Cold beer. What's not to like?
