More often than not I come to Kensington specifically for Essence of Life. They have such a wide variety of health conscious goods. Its a great place if you are vegan, gluten free or have dietary restrictions. I discover something new every time I come in. I recently discovered this mango Tajin sauce, which I had never seen before and needed to try. 10/10 its delicious as a sauce for eggs or anything but I also added it to my spicy margaritas - and omg total game changer!! The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. This place is definitely worth checking out if you are in Kensington market.
I do admit this store is awesome. The amount of stuff they have and things you usually can't find is great!
For example, I found my favorite tea, Justea! And you can't find that everywhere.
I love amount of reusable things they have such as, Bamboo Cleaning Face Pads, Drier Balls...so much I am not even scratching the surface, haha!
I will definitely be coming back because I love the products here!
Great health food store with a lot of great products. Supplements, frozen foods, beauty products this place has everything. Essence of Life has a much better selection of products than many of the bigger health food stores I’ve visited. The staff are friendly and willing to help you find the items you’re looking for. Highly recommend checking this place out.
Well stocked grocery store. Everything you might need. Tons of organic options, more expensive but still a good deal for organic items! The staff was nice they helped me find what I was looking for. Appreciated that they put cardboard on the floor because it was so messy outside- this was smart! Natural and vegan products as well!
Very nice staff, a lot of choice, not that expensive (especially compared to Whole Foods)
Love this store. I buy my skin and body care products there, and recently have bought some supplements that are super well priced. Will be buying from here more and more!

Every trip to Kensington includes a visit to essence of life. Genuinely the kindest staff working there. Always greeted with a smile. They offer great guidance if buying any type of product. New items to discover every time. I love this Kensington staple!!!
Love this place! Tons of variety for food, body products, vitamins, and more! Everyone is also very friendly. The prices are fair and cheaper than a lot of other places. Love coming here :)
Love this health food store in Kensington Market. All staff is great, the selection of products is awesome. Love their own line of products (shampoo bar is the best I've ever tried)! Highly recommend, it is a must for me every time I'm in that area.
