Being an East Indian and living in Toronto for a few centuries, I have had the chance to sample a lot of Roti shops in the city and suburbs. Always disappointed the curry was stale , the roti was store bought and somewhat like cardboard, no kidding.
Then by accident a few weeks ago one of my best friends also West Indian, and I saw Blue Water Roti on Victoria Park and with mixed feelings we decided to try their Roti. We walked in to a very simple shop and before receiving payment the person behind the counter said he had to put the order into the kitchen. We somewhat smiled at this, how long does it take to wrap a Roti ? We waited a while and OMG. When the rotis arrived they were still hot and smelling so fresh. "THESE GOAT AND CHICKEN ROTIS WERE PREPARED FRESH WHILE WE WERE WAITING"' My friend and I were still in shock to realize that after all these years we discovered THE BEST ROTI IN TORONTO, THE REAL THING. With all due respect don't be fooled by all the garbage Rotis out there . If you want the real thing , this is the place , enjoy.
I look forward to the days I go out to meet my husband for lunch. This is my favorite place to go. The food is so fresh and delicious. The owners are extremely friendly and make you feel like part of the family. I recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good food and very reasonable pricing.
I had tasted their boneless chicken and fresh roti, and I must say they are amazing. In fact, they truly gave me a taste of India. I would suggest everybody try the same.
