Being an East Indian and living in Toronto for a few centuries, I have had the chance to sample a lot of Roti shops in the city and suburbs. Always disappointed the curry was stale , the roti was store bought and somewhat like cardboard, no kidding.
Then by accident a few weeks ago one of my best friends also West Indian, and I saw Blue Water Roti on Victoria Park and with mixed feelings we decided to try their Roti. We walked in to a very simple shop and before receiving payment the person behind the counter said he had to put the order into the kitchen. We somewhat smiled at this, how long does it take to wrap a Roti ? We waited a while and OMG. When the rotis arrived they were still hot and smelling so fresh. "THESE GOAT AND CHICKEN ROTIS WERE PREPARED FRESH WHILE WE WERE WAITING"' My friend and I were still in shock to realize that after all these years we discovered THE BEST ROTI IN TORONTO, THE REAL THING. With all due respect don't be fooled by all the garbage Rotis out there . If you want the real thing , this is the place , enjoy.
I look forward to the days I go out to meet my husband for lunch. This is my favorite place to go. The food is so fresh and delicious. The owners are extremely friendly and make you feel like part of the family. I recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good food and very reasonable pricing.
I had tasted their boneless chicken and fresh roti, and I must say they are amazing. In fact, they truly gave me a taste of India. I would suggest everybody try the same.
I must say they are one of the best Indian restaurants in Scarborough.Last week I went there with my parents and we had a good time. We loved their Shrimp Curry. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM.
Well if want great food.loaded with flavor and taste.stop looking and check out bluewater absolutely amazing food.leaving you wanting more.every dish is simply mouth watering.you won't be dissapointed eating at bluewater
Where do I begin. Ive known the owners of blue water since I was a child, my mother has been coming here for a long time. The food is amazing from the variety of roti dishes to the many other tasty treats on the menu. The owners are very kind sweet people and the prices are amazing. Its also a very welcoming environment to have a couple drinks and socialize.
Blue Water is one of my choice go-to spots for west Indian food. May not look like much from outside, as it resides in typical Scarborough strip mall, but that's part of it's charm. Family owned. Sweet, hardworking people. Great, affordable food. Dine or take out. And my fave chicken roti ever. I will always go to Blue Water. One Love.

Great food. Best roti in Toronto. Thank you for your fast and friendly service. We have been coming for over 21 years. Even though we live over an hour away it's worth the drive. EXCELLENT FOOD! EXCELLENT SERVICE!
Best roti in the gta. And I don't think they make roti outside the gta. So the best roti in ontario. Always reminds me of the way grandma bubbles up her pots.. thanks for providing the best Guyanese dishes for all our tastebuds. Brings me back to home.
Coming here since I was a kid. Truly one of the best west indian restaurants to go to if you're in the area! Food is delicious and the management are super nice to talk to! Great service
The food here is amazing. And their roti's are to die for. I've also have had several other dishes; and each one was better the the first ! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND BLUE WATER CURRY &ROTI !!!!
The food here is delicious with really good prices!!!. There is a familiar environment surrounding this restaurant, the owners Chandra and Khem are really nice people, and they treat you very kind. I ultra recommend this place!!!!
LOVED THE GOAT ROTI. My son does not eat birthday cake so for his 31st birthday, I bought him his favorite roti from his fav roti shop and put a candle in it. It was the best cake he has ever had:)
Blue Water has the most delicious roti's in Toronto. They are not dry and you don't have to look for the meat. The service is second to none and we love the atmosphere.
Great people and great food! It's always good, taste authentic and home made we go at least twice a month and we've never been disappointed
Friendly host, speedy service and great prices. Must try the goat roti!
The best roti ever! Awesome food and great people. Small little place with great flavor.
Excellent atmosphere.. good price on beer..good food
A good home cooked meal. I have been coming to blue water curry + roti since i was in middle school when I discovered it on my bus ride home. I currently do not live close by, but still travel here for lunch as it is my favorite roti place in the city...over the years I have tried many different places and I still come back to this one. The owners are very friendly as well.
The roti is homemade fresh every day from scratch and you can taste it! My favorite is the goat roti which is stuffed full of meat and does not miss out on the flavours.
I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good roti experience!
Two thumbs up !!!!!!. I have been going to Blue Water for over a year now and every time I go I am amazed at how the foods seems to get better and better. I am always greeted with a smile and pleasant conversation from the friendly staff who make me feel right at home. The curry dishes and the roti are great, not too spicy, just perfect and the rice dishes and soups are fantastic. I will keep coming back just to make sure that I have tried everything that is on the menu. I believe that they are doing something right here as there is always a flow of patrons either picking up a take-out order or sitting at one of the tables and dining in. I have read some of the other reviews of Blue Water and I totally disagree with the "So Much Salt" review. I didn't find any of the meals salty at all. I am not one to put salt on my food so I would have noticed the salt taste very easily. I think that "So Much Salt" either has Blue Water confused with another restaurant or has no idea of what they are commenting on. As far as Blue Water goes, I give it TWO THUMBS UP and I mean way up. Keep up the great cooking and I look forward to future visits.
Looks can be deceiving. The place doesn't look very inviting, I'll admit, but I tried it today on a whim and it was delicious. I went with some friends and we all had the chicken curry and roti. Everything was FRESH! The flavours are just perfect. I was so surprised that they even cook the roti fresh when you order it. I honestly think that this is the best West Indian place in the city. I was also pleasantly surprised by the chicken wings! They weren't greasy and had a wonderful texture and flavour. And the amount of food that you get for that price is enough reason to go there.
All in all, this place is a 10/10. I made an account just to praise it.
Been coming here for years! The best Guyanese style curry in town, Roti made fresh per order, you may have to wait a little bit.....but oh so worth the wait. Highly recommended!
Wow! First visit definitely won't be the last. We ordered their chicken roti and it was amazing! Perfect portion, meaty, and taste authentic! Made fresh per order, worth the wait. Can't wait to come back here!!
Best Roti Here. Sweet Moist Meat and not too many Potatoes, who could ask for anything more in a Roti. And talk about fresh... Roti skin/shell, you can smell it as it is being cooked. Best Ever
Definitely a rum shop.. But have decent chicken and roti! Worth trying!
What can I say? But amazing!!!!!!!!!!. I work around the corner from blue water curry, we have had. The pumpkin, boneless chicken, spinach and boneless goat. All are amazing! After living in the Caribbean this is the best I have ever had in Toronto. Make sure you call ahead to order, otherwise you will wait. They have dinner plates too.
Best roti in town- they make the roti skin when you order. That's why it takes a bit longer. Try the goat.
Great goat roti. I was first introduced to this place in in the early '90s but coworders at the then IBM plant at Don Mills & Eglington. it's a hole in the wall, but the Roti is great.
Roti at its best.... But slooooowwwww. What I order: goat roti. What my pale husband orders: boneless chicken breast roti.
