I came here on a cold Sunday afternoon with a few friends, perfect weather for eating hot ramen. I ordered the vegetarian ramen (not sure of the exact name), which had bamboo shoots, slices of tofu and other veggies. I like that they have vegetarian options, and the meal was satisfying and warming. Taste-wise it wasn't extraordinary, but I wouldn't mind coming back some other time!
Decent flavor and serving size and at a good price. I had the Sapporo mince pork selection and it was good but not great. A good range of menu items will get me coming back to try more.
Last Monday, I went to the Kenzo Ramen located on bathurst and Queen St. W. I had a great experience there. It was very cozy, had great food and great service. I had Nagasaki Champon which included seafood toppings. A mother’s touch on a scraped knee. A lover’s embrace under the sheets. The smell of home cooking from the kitchen stove. Lying on a cozy rug in front of the fireplace. Reading in bed while listening to the sound of raindrops outside the window. If you could cook all these metaphors of comfort and serve them in a bowl, Kenzo’s ramen is what you would get. Comfort in a bowl – for less than $8. Now that’s what I’m talking about...
Awesome ramen place.... Went for ramen today at Queen St. West place. Ordered Netsu spicy ramen and it was excellent. Not too greasy, and the noodle was very chewy. I hate it when the noodle is too soft and soggy/mush. Well, here you don't have to worry about that!
Good price and service. I really recommend the place.
