This is my second visit here in three years. I had the BBQ chicken bacon sandwich and sweet potato fries. Was bummed that the fries didn't come with a fun sauce. The patio tables were also a bit dirty. Sandwich was good though.
A pub that serves typical pub food, but really stands out with its amazing customer service. We have a movie at the Revue next door in 30 minutes but decided last minute we wanted food. The waiter said he'd put a rush order on our sweet potato fries, which were awesome, and let us pay right after so we wouldn't be late. He was so kind and accommodating for us! Considering it was busy it was nice that he made us a priority. Cheers
This is a must-go spot!. Local is sooo coool. Great original music all the time! Totally original regional craft-beer selection and friendly bar staff. I think the personality here is super special. Not really a meal-spot for me, sorry. I'd rather eat first, and drink here after. This is a good place for private conversations, because the music is always at crazy maximum so no one can hear anything past a foot or two.
Possibly the best French fries I've ever experienced! I got a salad that was mediocre at best and ate all the boyfriend's fries.
Tasty pub fare. As far as bars go, this one has it all. Great customer service, tasty pub fare and free live music. The CD's played were also pretty great. I'd suggest this bar to anyone that wants to meet up with a group of friends for a few drinks.
Don't go for the decor . . . as mentioned by others it's rundown, or more to the point, it's a dump! Staff can be indifferent and moody - sometimes they're friendly & at other times they are like, "Who the he'll are you?" or, "Are you talking to me?" We enjoy the food - it's homemade and they change the menu every six months or so. We also enjoy the folk bands they bring in, even though that's the only time we listen to that genre.
Stunning - Blew my mind.... This restaurant is hands down my favourite in the city right now. The food is brilliant, unpretentious and great value. We have done the chef's tasting menu and could not believe the sheer quantity and quality we received for only $50.
The meats and the pastas are the real stars here and the flavours are thoughtful and surprising. The wine list is great and reasonable and the staff are well informed and friendly.
The maple cured pancetta, steak tartare and beet & ricotta pasta were sublime. We went with my parents and asked for the chef to surprise us - we were served an feast of delights, each one better than the next.
I just want them to come back from their European holiday as I am in Salumi Platter withdrawal!!

I ordered medium wings ... they were delicately deep fried and then tossed in medium sauce. They were good.
A super chill bar to hang out with friends. Everyone is so friendly here, it really feels like a 'neighborhood' bar. They have a great selection on tap, and the staff are always helpful when choosing a beer. They do live bluegrass here, which is so much fun. If you want a casual night out, this is it.
