It was so good! I ate there last week and I LOVED it! I did some exercise so this was the PERFECT post-workout meal.
My first choice of course was Sashimi and mixed sushi. Both were delicious!!!! Especially with soy sauce. An important quality of Sashimi is that you are getting it from a restaurant with experience. The sushi was delicious. And the Wasabi was exceptionally hot! And also the pickled ginger was delicious. Here's some reasons why you should eat more sashimi: "sashimi is an excellent source of protein, omega-3 fatty acids, and other nutrients including selenium, niacin, phosphorous, magnesium and vitamins B6 and B12."
I ordered the Seaweed Salad. It was PERFECT!!!! Not overly sweet like the usual seaweed salad that I usually get in Korean supermarkets. Here's a little information about why their seaweed Salad is a good choice: Seaweed has "a cocktail of nutrients, including high levels of vitamins A and C, and calcium. Vegans can rejoice in the fact that it's one of the only natural, non-animal sources of vitamin B-12, which is essential for many cognitive and bodily functions. In addition, sea vegetables tout particularly high amounts of iodine, potassium, selenium, iron, and magnesium—unrivaled by land vegetables, as these minerals are especially concentrated in seawater" Sashimi house has been around for decades!!! That means they know how to prepare their food safely. So I was able to eat it without worrying.
I also ordered Edamame, there was salt sprinkled, but I prefer mine without salt, so I just used an edamame pod to absorb the salt, then I ate all the beans. HEALTHY (anti-cancer, aids with weight management, digestive system, reduces risk of cardiovascular diseases, improves lung function, and strengthens immune system)! AND FILLING!!! ^^.
Lastly, I ate a Miso soup. It was delicious. 5 reasons to eat more miso soup:
Provides Beneficial Probiotics.
Helps Improve Digestion.
Has Positive Effects on Blood Pressure.
Has Anticancer Effects.
Good Source of Nutrients — Including Copper, Manganese and Vitamin K.
It's helps that the staff was SUPER friendly and accommodative. I came with a bit of cash and couldn't really give a great tip although I wanted to, but my waiter totally understood and told me not to worry. The atmosphere was very cute and good for families or large groups. I highly recommend this place and I will be going again in the future. :)
I have been going to the Sashimi House since I moved into the area about 15 years ago. It is my favorite Sushi restaurant in Toronto for the quality of the fish. And it is the one place I can buy Salmon sashimi by the pound... for those special occasions at home.
