Located at the western end of the 1st Canadian Place eatery, this bakery has a wide range of sweets baked elsewhere but brought in daily in the mornings. I tried the reasonably priced (pictured) Banana Bread and the Apple Cinnamon loaf which were both delicious.
Located in First Canadian Place in PATH.. This coffee place has good deals and offers at regular intervals.. Nice vintage look with dark interiors.. Tried Organic coffee drip-- Dark and Medium roast on couple occasions.. Liked their DArk Roast more.. well made, good in flavor.. Enjoyed my cuppa Coffee..
I past by this busy area on the PATH daily. The Brick Street bakery is located on the basement of First Canadian place. They have fresh sandwiches, rolls, pies, and desserts. For lunch, I usually target their meat pies and sausage rolls. On this visit, I ordered their creamy chicken tarragon pie to go. It comes in a standard pie size with a light crust. It is not overly greasy but it did not come with as much cream as I thought it would. There was plenty of chicken and overall the taste was fine.
This popular a witch place in FCP is a bankers staple and it never disappoints. They are famous for their meat pies and enormous meat loaf sandwich. Today I had the lamb koufta wrap which was just the right balance of savoury and saucy. Definitely worth a stop in but be forewarned, the line up is long and the average sandwich is $8 so it is not cheap but worth it.
Counter service at this location on the Path was swift . Had the tuna sandwich on multigrain bread. The tuna was flavoured with dill and the lettuce and tomato garnishes were fresh. Price is a bit steep in my opinion.
So I've hated this place before. Not all sandwiches are created equal. There are two things I thoroughly enjoy here: sausage rolls (it's ground sausage inside, amazing!); and the chicken club sandwich. It's almost a curried chicken inside, served warm and soooo tasty.
Favourite things from here:
Coronation Chicken sandwich - really unique combination of sweet and savoury flavours; the bread is so soft and fresh.
Vegetarian sandwich - sounds boring but they really make it nicely. Tastes amazing with the aioli mayo that's on it.
Double chocolate pecan butter tarts - amazing.
Egg salad sandwich - hugely filling , classic taste.
