Awesome Breakfast place!. My wife and I go hear for weekend breakfasts frequently. Menu change/slight price increase as of of May 15 2013. $ 25 will still get two of you a generous breakfast with coffee refills. I recommend the eggs over easy with sausage split, and you can ask for the tomato option (replaces the home fries) if you are calorie-concious.Wife loves the french toast with crispy bacon. Each breakfast comes with a tiny bit of fresh fruit on the side. Nice touch. opens at 7am Sat.

Decent Portions at a Decent Price.. The New York Cafe is a staple for those at Broadview and Danforth. It is your typical corner joint that serves up comfort foods. The portions are good, the quality is decent and the price if fair.

This little spot reminds me of the corner cafe on Seinfeld. It's packed with locals at all hours; ordering sandwiches, soups and big salads from staff with "a bit of bite."

It's your typical neighborhood joint - it's probably been around for 50 years and will be around 50 more!

Old skool diner for locals - but one thing you cannot miss is their pizza! It comes on a platter just like in NYC. It takes around 20 minutes after ordering but it is definitely worth it. The pie comes out gooey with cheese and the toppings are actually trapped underneath that layer of cheese. My boyfriend always waits a few minutes so that it's the "optimal eating temperature" - that's his opportunity to take some glamour shots of his prize winning dinner.

Other than that - wings are good... It's the place to have a no frills pizza and wing night. The people there are friendly and the patrons are the entertainment for the night...!

New York restaurant is a little diner on the corner of Broadview & Danforth. With a pleasant patio, and inner dining area, it is perfect for all weathers. I ordered for a Chicken Burger with Fries on the side and a coke. No diner can go wrong with this. The chicken was cooked well. The quantity was perfect. Definite must visit. Little warning for my veggie friends, there aren’t too many options for vegetarians.
