When I'm in chinatown, this is one of the places I go to for a quick and inexpensive meal. I like the bbq here and congee as well. Don't expect much service, just a quick meal.
Pretty good. I wouldn't say it is as good as Ding Tai Fong (my favorite restaurant) but it is good enough that I would go back.
Good: food is made fast and fresh. No real weak dishes. Like the atmosphere, not too fancy but it felt good. You can see the cooks make your food in the window on the street.
Bad: BBQ pork was pretty fatty. Compared to other Chinese outlets, this was one negative. Could of cooked the liver more in the congee as there was some blood, however I am aware this is their signature dish and may have been their intention.
Been here couple times, they have variety of dishes and drinks to choose from. It will always be a good pick, when your craving for noodles or rice. Recommend the soy sauce chicken with rice.
This is one of my go-to spots in Chinatown.
Glistening BBQ is enticing from one of the front windows, and the steam from the soup and noodles fogs up the other.
The service is brisk and no-nonsense.
They have all the usual Chinese BBQ dishes available at the usual BBQ joints. At this place, the food is done well, and is tasty, not gloppy. Everything I have ever had here has been tasty. From noodle soup, rice dishes, to take-out.
I am a repeat offender.
Fast and fresh. Chinatown restaurant. Nothing fancy. Clean, fast, fresh and generous portion size.
Not much in terms of atmosphere or hospitality but my take out lunch was great.
Vegetable chow mien done nicely and the BBQ chicken was very tasty.
Chinese food. Yes, this place open until really late, and its good, and clean and fast. When I just want to enjoy a good meal I will come here. They do have the best BBQ pork in Chinatown.
Consistently good food. It's been like this for a decade. Service is abrupt but you can be in and out of there in 20
Great variety and quality. With such a large menu it is a miracle that they are able to make most of the dishes with such high quality. Tried about half a dozen dishes so far and it has never dissapointed. It is no wonder this place is packed all the time.
However customer service is pretty poor, they seem understaffed to waitresses often run around ignoring people. Cashier does not say thank you when you pay. Such a shame when you have such great chefs and ingredients and it it the front store workers who hinder the experience.
Very quick take out. BBQ pork in rice was good. Great place for something to grab late at night.
Great and fresh congee!. It is always great to eat fresh congee with some simple humble chinese food.... don't worry about the service, go for the food!
