Wow this place is definitely a hidden gem in north york. Came here with my friend yesterday and it did not disappoint. Staff is friendly, food is good and reasonably prices. There pancakes are massive and delish! Definitely would come back here!
My boyfriend and myself stumbled upon this place accidentally one morning when looking for a place to eat brunch - and it has officially become our weekend breakfast/brunch place ever since. The staff and food are both amazing. On the weekend it does get a bit busy, but once you eat here, you'll totally understand. In my opinion it's worth the wait. My boyfriend isn't adventurous and always gets Eggs Benny, but myself, I get something new every time and I am never disappointed and he says it's probably the best eggs Benny he's ever had.
I've been going there for brunch with my girlfriend and her family for over two years already. They told me that it was their favorite breakfast place around and it only took me one brunch to get hooked as well.
The breakfast choices are very straight forward and consistently good. The truth is that nothing "fancy" or "creative" happens there but just enjoyable food in hearty portions.
The place has plenty of room but, it definitely gets packed on the weekends when most people come for brunch after church. The decor is not up-to-date, indeed, but it goes well with the "classic" family diner atmosphere.
The prices are reasonable, specially considering the big portions that you get; and the staff is, most of the time, very friendly.
This place is consistently good. Nothing too special but they have really good souvlaki.
They usually have a $15 chicken souvlaki special that comes with a soup of the day, garlic bread, 2 chicken skewers, rice, potatoes, Greek salad, tzatziki sauce and either rice pudding or jell-o for dessert.
This is usually too much food for me so I just order the chicken souvlaki on a pita. It comes with a greek salad and is delicious. It's also under $10.
R & T is usually packed on the weekends because they have pretty good breakfast there.
When you step inside, you go back to the early 2000's but who cares.
The moment my boyfriend and I walked in, it had a nice feeling about the atmosphere almost immediately. Smelled good, the menu had more than a few things I wanted to try. My boyfriend had the steak and egg special, and I had a banquet burger, which with the homemade patty thing about it, was delicious. Ohhh, and the calamari. Well done, and the sauce was a pretty good accompaniment to it with the zing of lemon~
A great little restaurant, with fresh food, and chunky portions. Prices are not on the cheaper side. Service was GREAT. Although the restaurant is in a little corner it was still pretty busy. Me and my partner went there for a Sunday breakfast, and enjoyed it a lot. I hear the Chopped Steak (it's not actually chopped, it is beaten) is great.
You go back in time when you enter this place but the staff recognize you and the breakfast is solid for a reasonable price. It's a good place for a Sunday brunch after church. The early bird (eggs, potatoes and bacon with tea/coffee) is easy on the wallet and satisfies the stomach.

Great service. I lived in the area my whole life, this place has been open for years now, (used to be called clipper restaurant) the breakfast is amazing and so many options to choose from, they even have early bird specials as well. service is always outstanding
