This is the first burger place I tried in Toronto and it made me feel like home. The ambience is industrial, which made me feel like I was back home in Windsor. All the staff was friendly and willing to strike up a conversation with anyone who wanted to have one.
The food was fantastic! One bite into the burger was all I needed to be in food heaven. They have pretty good sauces to compliment the burgers and appetizers well. However, if I had to recommend one thing, it would be the milkshakes. There is a wide variety and they are a little expensive, but they are totally worth it.
The first time we ate at WORKS, it was in Barhaven (Ottawa). We were enjoying our burgers when, all of a sudden a car came crashing through the front of the restaurant! Thankfully, no one was hurt; "just stepped on the wrong pedal..." I overheard the senior gentleman say when things calmed down.
That being our first experience with the chain, I expected big things when they opened a location near home!
Whenever we order food from WORKS, it's been good. Not over the top good, just solid; nice flavours and well cooked meat. As I've said in previous reviews, with so many burger joints opening open in #toronto, WORKS is in the middle of the pack.
There are many options, most of them have funny names that make the experience that much more memorable (The Ring of Fire, 3-ring Binder, The Hipster to name just three).
The sides are good too. Try the die cut chips.
Reasonably priced too. Served in trays, and drinks come in mason jars and measuring cups. Cool!
Go for a casual burger experience with no hangups. Also, go because it's a Canadian start up!
First time was amazing no complaints. Service was quick with no delays. Everything was explained in detail. Definitely going back
