The place is cramped up. Although the up side is that if gives the ambience of a chaotic South Indian restaurant. The food is okish. The buffet can be made better. Service is slow, but probably because they have a lot of customers always. This place seems to be full always.
Heard about this new place from a friend of mine. By far the best south Indian restaurant in lower mainland. I have been to almost all other places and you could feel the refrigerated taste of the food in those places as they make bulk and reheat or sometimes even serve them as such. But this place has a good quality food all made fresh on daily basis. For those who prefer vegetarian and vegan options, this will be a heaven. Non vegetarians will not be disappointed as the food quality and variety is still good and tasty. Give it a try and you will not be disappointed. Cheers
Stopped at this place while driving from Montreal to Toronto. Had tried their Mississauga outlet earlier. The service, food was good. Also the ambience is good. One good thing about this chain is the food tastes same at all locations.
Saravanaa Bhavan is a brand in South Indian cuisine and this branch does not disappoint. This is a great place for weekend brunches. Their unlimited breakfast buffet is a great way to end/start the week!
The buffet includes upma, khara pongal, idli, vada, mini uttapams, potato bhaji and unlimited dosas and pooris. (Its puri if served with chole and poori with bhaji and chutney :P). Theres also the 3 chutneys and sambar that accompany almost every dish you order here. For desserts there's rava kesari and gulab jamuns. And you can wash it all down with some good, strong filter coffee or tea.
Everything on the buffet tastes good and is served fresh. The service is quick and the dosas and pooris are on your table in no time.
If you want seconds be sure to take a new plate as they don't allow used plates near the buffet for hygiene purposes.
I havent really tried anything else on their menu... but will definitely go back for more.
Definitely recommended
I'm a great Saravanaa fan, but unlike Dubai, there are only 2 outlets in Toronto, both away from downtown. Nevertheless this outlet is very conveniently located by TTC at McCowan and Finch and serves the great Veg food as always such as the pictured Paneer Dosa with extra Sambar. Finger licking good!
We had been there couple of times during weekends and had lunch buffet. The items list were huge in the buffet, nothing disappointed us and it was worth of every penny.
must try motichoor laddu,it was so delicious.Plain and masala paper dosa is very yummy along with coconut chutney, but I am not a big fan of sambar.
Tasty South Indian food. Love the Chilll Idly!! Definitely on my regular food hub list!! It is always crowded, so dont forget to reserve the seat!
We had weekend lunch buffet here and it was totally worth the money. Only thing they can improve is chole. It was a little bit strong in taste..
