Cookies were delicious and moist. I ordered a lemon cake from here as well. It was a bit too dense for my liking but very tall and pretty. Service was good.
I visited this place after searching on google about vintage coffee shops in town. I was thrilled to step in and check this place out.
Decor and furniture are well organized, products and labels match the style and the atmosphere reminded me a l typical old attic back in the days or a rustic cottage kitchen in the county side in Italy.
Staff is gentle and smiling. Which is for me a key of success. I asked for gluten free products but unfortunately thy don't have any yet. They have told me that Janet is working on few recipes but here is where I, as developer, definitely can help them with.
I haven't taken picture of the treats who I tasted but they were wholesome and not over sweet.

The wonderful aroma of fresh baked goods is the first thing that hits you when you walk into the Phipps Bakery Cafe. The front half of the shop is a bakery, and the back half is a small cafeteria. Sandwiches, salads, hot food and more. Today's hot selections were mac and cheese, spinach lasagna, stir fry vegetables with chick peas, quiche, pasta with mushroom ragu.
SWMBO chose the Pasta and Mushrooms. Given that it was served cafeteria style, the pasta was a bit overdone, but still tasty. I had the Quiche, which turned out to have mushrooms, which I love. I also had a small side of the Stir Fry. My dishes were served in a bowl, but it probably would have been easier to eat the Quiche if it was on a plate.
The dining area was decorated to look like an outdoor cafe, with wrought iron trellises, flag stone floor, and two-top cafe tables. The tables were an eclectic mix of cafe tables, including granite, wood, square, round, painted and plain.
