NOT BAD AT ALL. For the price you pay food is delicious. Service is quick. AMBIENCE-Ambience is great. The booths are pretty comfortable.
VARIETY- There are plenty of vegetarian varieties on the menu. Paneer Jalfrazi was mouth watering good.
PRICE- An appetizer, food for two, drinks(lassi) for two will cost barely $30.
HOSPITALITY- The servers and management are very sweet and understanding . On a busy sunday they took us in at 10:30pm when dine in was about to close.
OVERALL- A wonderful place to eat. A quick place for a take out. The restaurant is hidden behind trees so I always skipped while driving through the road. Discovered late but discovered great.
Thanks. Happy Eating.
Nice environment for a family dine in.
Servers could be more attentive and check back more often.
Portions could be little larger based on the price.
Overall, great food.
This place has good quality and standards, food is always fresh. The Etobicoke location is arguably better than the Vaughan, but both are good joints. My family has been eating here before i could even walk, so this restaurant must be doing something right.
Only complaint I would have is portion sizes. They could definitely be better. Other than that, this place is a gem and holds many childhood memories for me.
Ordered the combo for 2 over phone and reached 15 mins later to pick up. The staff was courteous and delivered the package instantly. Payment was a breeze with debit card. The combo for 2 is really an understatement given the variety and generous portions. Beef seekh kabab and naan would be enough for 2. But it also included lamb biryani and chicken karahi. I am not a big fan of naan but theirs has converted me. It was not burnt, or doughy or chewy as I have experienced at similar establishments elsewhere. It was what a naan should be, soft and delicious even by itself. Also need to mention the mint chutney, that was terrific. Only criticism would be the biryani had too much mint leaves which kind of affected the taste. Not a big fan of leaves in my food. Overall tremendous cooking, kudos to the chef, will go next time to dine-in, the ambiance was good too.
Tandoori Time is a darn good Indian restaurant with the usual dishes. A favorite, of course, is butter chicken, but surprisingly you might want to try the chicken wings. Really good!
FOOD:
I had come here for lunch on a Thursday afternoon at around 12:00 pm therefore, I had settled on the Butter Chicken Lunch Special, which included butter chicken, naan (or rice), and a salad (I had chosen the naan for my meal). Once I had received my meal, I was AMAZED at how delicious everything had tasted. The salad had arrived first, and was in a small dish, with dressing on the side in another dish. The salad was crispy and fresh, with the opportunity to place extra dressing on it if desired. Although it was small, it was perfect for a small appetizer as it cleansed the mouth, leaving me feeling fresh and ready for my main dish.
Once I had received my butter chicken shortly afterwards, I had noticed that it was very-well moistened in the sauce, which contained the perfect combination of spices and cream. There were also many pieces of chicken which were quite moist and easy to eat. The only thing I would suggest is to possibly cut the chicken pieces smaller as they were a bit too large to eat in one bite. The naan was absolutely DIVINE as well, with it arriving piping hot (temperature-wise), and soft; not too crunchy or burnt (as can be found at other establishments). Also, the two pieces of naan were HUGE, definitely filling me up for hours afterwards.
Overall, the food HIGHLY satisfied my taste buds. I have had many dishes of butter chicken at other establishments however, this one definitely hit the spot. The portions were large, and everything was well-prepared, with perfect precision and technique that is difficult to find elsewhere. Highly recommend that you try the butter chicken, one of the BEST out there!
ATMOSPHERE:
When I had arrived at this restaurant, it had just opened for lunch therefore, there was only one other table with customers. As I was at the restaurant, I had noticed that a few other tables had filled-up, making it seem busier. There were beautiful paintings on the wall, as well as comfortable booths near the window on one side, and tables on the other side. The restaurant itself was a bit small however, boasted a cozy feeling when dining.
SERVICE:
When I had arrived, I was told that I could choose my seat by the waitress that had come out from the back to greet me. I had chosen a booth near the window, and ordered my meal right away as soon as she had placed the menu in front of me. I then had to wait about ten minutes to get a glass of water, and fifteen minutes for my salad to arrive, and there were only three people dining in the restaurant. I did find that the service was a bit too slow however, after my salad had arrived, my main meal had arrived about five minutes afterwards. I did mention that I had to go as I had to be somewhere else within the hour therefore, that may have been what caused them to bring my meal so quickly. The waitress did come by as I was eating to ask how everything was tasting; she was definitely pleasant!
COST:
1 Butter Chicken Lunch Combo (Salad, Butter Chicken & Naan): $9.99 + Tax = $11.29
WOULD YOU RETURN?
YES! The food was one of the best Indian food dishes that I had ever tasted. Would HIGHLY recommend to anyone wanting a delicious meal, made fresh to order, and with care and precision!
Tandoori time is a great place. Friendly staff, always smiling. Good food. The food is a little americanized, but it's still really good. They have great options for combos for 2 +. Comes with so much food for decent prices. The only thing I suggest to them is allow the food to be a little spicier. It isn't spicy at all really. Still 5 stars!
I Just Love THE FOOODDD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Awesome service and splendid food
10+ year of their customer. Everytime A+++++
All the best and dont change
Picky eater. Best Pakistani food in toronto. Every dish on the menu is of super quality and freshness. I have eaten there 3 times a week for the last 18 years.
The staff and management are very friendly. The restaurant is very clean and prices are great.
Mmm.. I want more!. I love their fresh, hot nan. I tried their chicken karahi. Yum! It was so good. They give out big portions for a good price. It's a place I'll be coming back to.
