For a city of such size and diversity, Toronto does lack in good Vietnamese eateries (at least compared to places like Edmonton and Calgary). After a couple of mediocre experiences, fate (and BlogTO) brought me to this place on the southern end of Chinatown.
The room is clean with the requisite Viet/Asian wall pictures but more modern-looking than most. The service was friendly and efficient. Menu encompassed all the staples: rice, noodles, pho and appetizers.
Food was fresh and tasty, reasonable prices and full of flavor. If getting the rice or noodle dishes, get the spicy pork skewer. Thoroughly recommended.
The service was FAST. The vegetarian salad roll was delicious in that it was fresh and I LOVE the basil leaves in the roll. The dip was not peanut based but I think it was hoisin sauce. The vietnamese pancake sounded really appealing. I was about to get it if it were not for I had another meal waiting for me. Definitely recommend stopping here for meal even though next door
Good pork vermicelli. Good food, nice n quick service, busy place during lunch. I had their congee and pork vermicelli, they were awesome!
