The food was good and the staff was friendly but there seemed to be some confusion when we were placing our order to the extent that we weren't really sure exactly what we ended up ordering until it arrived.
Aside from that little oddity, the food was very good and the portions fairly generous.
Cheap and cheerful. Almost everything is deep fried and what isn't fried is grilled. Great spot to scratch your itch if you're in the area. The poutine or chicken souvlaki are our favourites.
I just went there with my friend, at first we were slightly taken back from the location and the overalls look of the place.
But Berber judge a book by its cover. The food is amazing, way better than we had expected. The halibut was fresh and the fries were delicious especially with their house gravy.
We highly recommend the halibut. It will be our new go to spot fish n' chips for Toronto.
It's bright, clean, friendly, and prices are fair for what you get. Did take out but would eat there too for a casual dinner.

Had the halibut and chips. Cheap, good portion size, and hands down the best fish and chips I've ever had.
Chubby's Fish and Chips. I only order halibut and chips from Chubby's since finding the restaurant a year ago. Good batter, not greasy. Great fries, crispy , more than I can finish.
Last time I was there, my 15 year old daughter ordered a banquet burger, WOW was it huge, she could only manage 1/2 the burger. Came with thick slabs of back bacon.
Prices and portions are reasonable that's why we keep going back.
