Mr. Greek Express has stand-alone locations throughout the Greater Toronto Area and is by far, the best fast-food/casual Greek food. I always go to the North York location. All other Greek vendors in food courts are terrible in comparison. We love their pork souvlaki and roasted vegetables. They have huge portion sizes, the grilled vegetables are always perfect without being overly salted, and the meat is never dry.
We went to Mr Greek Express, hoping to grab a quick Saturday lunch. It was closer to 1 pm, and the restaurant was almost empty. Even though the name says "Express", our food did not arrive as fast as we had hoped. However, when it did arrive it was warm and fresh and tasty.
There are several "express" format restaurants popping up around town, where you order at the counter and pay, and then someone brings you your food when it is ready. Thankfully this restaurant did not prompt for a tip, which to me should really apply only when you have full table service.
SWMBO liked the Chicken Wrap combo with Salad. Grilled chicken wrapped in a spinach/flour tortilla. I had the Traditional Gyro Pita (beef/lamb) combo with Fries. The gyro meat was nicely seasoned and not dry (unlike some other places where I have been).
Love it~!. I order Mr. Greek Express's chicken kebab for lunch from time to time and I love their food. Serving in huge portion, my meal comes with a chicken large skewer, rice, potatoes, Greek salad and a piece of bread. Chicken kebab is juicy and moist, potatoes are soft, rice is very flavoured too!! Love it and no complain!! =)
Loud music. good taste food, nice grill menu. Original chicken souvlaki and fire grill taverna should must try. Platters work well.limited desserts options.
