Food excellent. Service spotty. Too many serving staff. Not co ordinated. One staff member not too friendly. Will be back again because the food is terrific.

Went here last night to celebrate a friends birthday.
Atmosphere- Loved the patio. They don't allow reservations out there but we were glad we got a nice table outside. Surrounded in large plants you feel like you are in a tropical location. Great idea.
Food- It really was a hit or miss situation. 1) Caesar salad- Excellent dressing . There wasn't much in the line of anything other than the lettuce and dressing. That would have been better had there been more. 2) Arugula salad with warm mushrooms- Wow! Mushrooms are warm and the result is a fantastic salad. 3) Margharite Pizza- The sauce and cheese was good. Very thin crust. 4) Lobster stuffed ravioli- Fantastic. So much lobster Pasta and sauce was perfection. 5) Seafood fettuccine( special) Excellent and brimming with seafood ( clams, squid, mussels, shrimp ) 6) grilled calamari- bland and kind of rubbery. 7) Veal cannelloni- Sauce - nice flavour, but the veal was more like baby food ground with zero flavour. I wish I had ordered the cheese one instead ( first choice then for some reason I changed y mind) We also had a jug of the sangria- Lovely and the bread with balsamic and oil was a nice touch.
Service- Good . We were served quickly and we were allowed to wait and ask when we wanted the bill. Nothing like another couples review.
Impression- Quite expensive so i would order the arugula salad and lobster stuffed raviolis because it makes a difference to be disappointed by a meal for just a few dollars than it does when you are paying a pretty penny for this kind of place. I will go back because the lobster ravioli and arugula salad are both that good
Food is great, service is great, drinks are great. My family and I go there very often. Try the carbonara pizza, it's to die for!
I am writing this review as I'm finishing up a rather a great lunch at la veranda. I work around the neighborhood and I usually don't go out to eat but man this place offers great lunch menu and price is just right. 12 dollars tax inc. For a full sized meal with a choice of one appetizer of many really is a great deal. The waitress delivers a pretty nice service and the patio area looks clean I would love to try it with my co-workers very soon.
Wait staff was engaging, fun. Veal dishes were great, pasta and veggies very fresh. Prices reasonable. Glad we didn't read the other reviews about this restaurant before going, that may have changed our minds. We were even quite underdressed for this restaurant, wait staff treated us with the utmost respect.

The food is perfection, the wait staff professional and courteous, the owners are two of the most lovely people around! They are attentive and polite to us every time we and everyone we know go there!! MAYBE IT WAS YOU AND YOUR GROUP'S ATTITUDE Who do you think you are? You had lunch with 13 other pretentious women at a restaurant, so what? Do you think your feet should be kissed just because you spent money there?? Re-read your comment and look at it from another's perspective...what do you think? How do you sound? SPOILED?? SELF-CENTRED?? Who spends $50/person on lunch for A BABY SHOWER??? PRETENTIOUS!!! It was our first time going and we have found a gem. nice and casual with some class great food great wine list and fantastic service and atmosphere....we will be bringing more friends to share our find. thanks for a fun evening
