My FAVOURITE Roti Shop!. I've been a loyal customer to Roti Roti for about 5 years now. This family run establishment is inviting and welcoming, treating every person walking through the door like an old friend. What I love about Roti Roti is their open concept kitchen- clients can see their food being prepared by the lovely ladies in the kitchen, while the food is served on the hot trays at the counter, ready for client orders.
Roti Roti offers a variety of Trinidadian cuisine at a generous price. From Tuesday to Friday, the roti special is great for families and big stomachs- 2 small rotis for $7.00. The choices in meat are wide- chicken, beef, goat, conch, shrimp, and duck with bone-in and boneless available. My favourite is the boneless chicken! Veggie options available including potato, channa and much more.
On the weekends, they have the best deal- breakfast buffet. Enjoy all you can eat food including roti shells. This breakfast is available for takeout and they give you a big portion to take with you.
The doubles are delicious and available with different flavoured chutneys.
This place is not only my favourite roti shop- it's my favourite restaurant, period. Their friendly warm atmosphere and the love with which they prepare the food keeps me coming back for more. Most importantly, the freshness of their ingredients and clean kitchen provide ease of mind.
There is another well known roti shop 2 doors down. I have tried it and liked it- but the whole time i thought, wish it was roti roti! This place is hands down the best option.
You will see from my profile that I write many reviews and love international foods from all over- this review is not done by someone that is related, works in, profits from or in any other way affiliated with the restaurant owners. That's a lot more than i can say for other roti shops, where the users singing praise join urbanspoon the same day their review goes up, and then the user has no more activity on the website at all. Roti Roti is the real deal, and you can see it on the reviews from loyal customers such as myself. Try it today!
2 weeks ago, out of the blue, I was craving a roti, needed that roti taste. I searched for a roti place around my area, Weston rd/Albion rd. I found Roti Roti because it had really good reviews and was walking distance from my place, so I decided to try it out.....
That roti taste I was craving was exactly what I got! My cravings were fullfilled in such a good way by Roti Roti! Sooooo tasty! I got curry chicken roti for myself and curry beef roti for my wife. We were both fullfilled and filled by this really well made great tasting roti. And that was just the small size.
Now, about the restaurant itself. Everything I read about it is exactly what I got. From the super friendly greeting upon immediate entry, to the fast yet polite service. The place is a tad small but I was to much in awe from reading all their menu had to offer to care about the size of the plasce. I want to eat everything they have! The place may be small but the patronage, the service, the politeness, the taste, the satisfaction is all huge!
I make it a Wednesday routine now to stop there. Today I got Shrimp curry roti and 2 doubles and again a curry beef roti for my wife...and again...super content. I highly, HIGHLY recommend this place.
Excellent!. I LOVE Roti Roti! I have been going to Roti Roti since they opened in the early 1990s when they were located on Lakeshore Blvd. They have great customer service and the restaurant provides a warm West Indian atmosphere. The family that owns the restaurant treats every customer as if they've known them for years.
Their food is authentic to the food you'll get in the Caribbean; they make no attempts to cut corners. They have the best dhalpouri and buss-up-shut in the city (and even further if you ask me). Their weekend morning breakfast special is fantastic, serving up everything from bhaji (spinach) to fried okro.
Ordering roti for pickup is easy; just call, place your order (tell them what time you'd like it ready for) and go pick it up! Roti Roti is home of the worlds biggest roti, and they have the pictures to prove it!
Whenever I want to introduce my friends to real West Indian food I ALWAYS take them to Roti Roti!
If you want to experience authentic, delicious and well priced Caribbean food I highly recommend paying a visit to Roti Roti!
