Completely lived up to its name and the crowd waiting for seats. Lovely place. Fresh sushis. Fast service. Amazing tempura. Try it out. If suggest going for the lunch deal to save some bucks or dinner to make it more exiting at a cost.
Basically a no frills ayce sushi place. This restaurant has decent prices. The quality of the sushi/ sashimi was not bad for ayce standards. The cooked foods were not bad, except the beef short ribs were a bit too soft(over marinated) for my liking.
The service was quite attentive, constantly clearing my table and refilling our water.
I will definitely be back if I want a cheap place to satisfy my craving for ayce.
One of the best AYCE for Japanese food which serve salmon sashimi as well. The service is a mixed bag as some staff are lifeless and some are radiantly cheerful.
However the food is the shining star. Everything is good/amazing. We were a hungry enough group to try out and share almost all the dishes on the menu.
The Miso soup is really good to start off with. The salmon sashimi is served at the right temperature and size. The Philadelphia sushi is really good. The shrimp and calamari tempura are light, fluffy and perfectly coated and cooked. The beef short rib is fall of the bone tender. The pork cutlet is crispy, juicy and cooked perfectly. I could go on and on. To end it off you must have the green tea ice cream, can't go wrong with it and bets are you going to order a second round of ice cream.
Is it value for money? Oh hell yeah. Beware of the crowds especially on weekends as getting a table will be quite the mission
One of the best sushi places I've been to in Toronto. Kyoto House is an all-you-can-eat sushi place with an exceptional selection of sushi, sashimi and appetizer. The best sushi we got to try was shrimp, California and salmon. We also ordered shrimp tempura which was hot from the kitchen, one of the best tempura I've tried so far. Loses one star for poor and slow service. Regardless will be back hoping for slightly better service.
This is a all you can eat sushi house so in the quality in that sense it's pretty descent. The staff is quick and although the tables may be a tad too close together the food menu is pretty diverse and the sushi is good. It's not completely packed with Tice like other all you can eat places.
There were lots of people on a Saturday. The sushi was good. The service was really fast. If they hadn't forgotten part of our order, I would of given it a 5. Had to reorder some of the items a couple of times. Not too much of a problem. Will come back to this place for sure.
I went to Kyoto House with another couple and one of Danny's colleague. It's in the Discover District near Dundas and Bay. I recall about 8 years ago, you had to wait at least 15 minutes in line to be seated. That day, we were seated right away. The good thing is that this place is so busy, you are guaranteed fresh ingredients!
CHEAP & LATE NIGHT ALL YOU CAN EAT BRUHHH ... im from calgary so seeing that it cost $20 made me cry a few tears of joy!! The menu doesnt have too much selection, it is quite basic with the typical things you'd expect like miso soup, tempura, maki rolls, sashimi, etc... The sashimi isnt the best of course since its AYCE but it was definitely worth because I ate LOTS!! Their tempura had way too much batter cause it was legit like 35% shrimp and 65% batter which is kinda sad but oh well... anyways THIS PLACE IS ACTUALLY A 3.0 IN FOOD AND STUFF BUUUUUTTT because its so cheap and open so late which never fkin happens in calgary, I give it a 3.5!!! would defintely come back for the cheap sushiiiiiiiii.
Food was pretty bless stillll. If you jus want rolls, and handrolls go there. Not much side dish variety but same ways id still go back. service was a1
Came here tonight with three other friends, attracted by the $19.99 all you can eat dinner. I must say, the first thing that stuck out to me was the amazing service. Waitors were constantly around, filling up our waters, taking away dishes. My friend spilled a sauce on the table and immediately a waitress appeared with a wet cloth to clean it up and more napkins to replace our soiled ones. The food comes super fast as well, UNBELIEVABLY fast. Tea was served to us in under 30 seconds. Our food came within minutes. The only downfall would be that the sushi often gets stuck together and falls apart very easily, but other than that it was very appetizing and fresh. Will definitely come back for more!
